One of the old pubs at the back of Highfield Road?

Looks like like the back of Hillfields near the old ground.

Is it where Mr. McSheffrey met the future Mrs. McSheffrey and was on a promise that produced young Gary?

Correct. All that is left of the original Singer factory.

The first ever team put out by our club would have worked in this building. Surely its deserving of a plaque or something?

Im surprised there isn't already, should at least mention regarding the factory itself with underneath about singers fc/ccfc. A very important building when you think about it.

Aerial view of Paynes Lane taken from above Far Gosford Street in 1926 looking north-east towards Highfield Road top-centre.
The large factory in the centre of the picture is Britannia Mills which dwarfs the Binley Oak pictured above.
