No fight, no urgency, no possession and we made a poor Barnsley team look good.

The team weren't together today, loose passes, plenty of Indivdual mistakes and no finishing product.

He made his feelings known on cwr after. Just after thorn where he Said he sounded fed up. Anyone starting to agree thorn has run out of ideas and motivTion. My friend said he sounded fed up

I really can't see how we can judge AT with the players he has at his disposal. I for one agreed with him dropping Bell as Bell has been awful all season. I think Sir Alex could be in charge of us and he wouldn't do much better. Sisu are an absolute disgrace :mad:. Its time they just let the club go into administration and left.

I wouldn't be too disappointed if we were in the league below as long as SISU ( W*****S ) weren't in charge

Generally agree with most that AT has done. The only thing that could improve our quality is Deegan staying fit, McPake having some kind of Robocop-operation to get him on the pitch to give us a defender worthy of the name, and Freddy to shed the fat suit and remember that, based on ability, he should be walking into this side. That could be like 3 new signings, but I don't have my hopes up that any will come to pass apart from the renaissance of Deegan-and with Sammy losing his touch, even that doesn't leave us strong enough.

We are surrounded by poor teams. When the new rules come out there will be even more poor teams in this division. The major problem soon is going to be the gulf which will appear between Prem and Championship clubs. At the moment the top Championship and bottom Prem sides are close. Don't think it will bother us for a fair bit of time though

Admin is not the answer. When going into admin, the administrators sell any asset they can. All we have is players. We'd be liquidated by Christmas

Plenty of other clubs in worse situations than ours.

Stockport & Plymouth off the top of my head.

Portsmouth may have owned their ground & get parachute payments but were £100m in debt, which would far outweigh in.

Leeds may have a big fan base but didn't own their ground and were in far more debt than us.

I have an opinion that Sisu have drawn a very thick line under the investment they have made into this Football club.
"Thats it" what we've had, is all we're going to get.

Its become clear, in the last couple of weeks or so, that we are unable, to even loan players from other clubs, due to lack of funds, or other clubs appearing to "out charm"us in the attraction stakes.

It appears that Sisu are fully prepaired for us to go down this season, it may even suit them better, to run a first division club and the ratio of Gate money v expences may seem more cost effective to them.
Its a scenerio that an untried manager, and rookie accademy players could well do without, there is little doubt that Andy Thorn has the sympathy, and support of most of the fans, and "the Sack" doesn't seem likely, and rightly so,
he also fits the bill of "cheap and cheerful"but perhaps not quite as cheerful these days, as he struggles with the players availiable to fashion a winning side.

The question was raised in an earlier post about administration, but as far as i know, the investors have to ask for their money back, and this appears not to be the case at the moment, although losing money at a fair rate of Knots, sisu have never been anxious to get it back in a hurry, and I always feel that the investment is not hurting them as much as they would like us to think.
I think they would be in a far greater hurry to get rid of "CCFC" if it was.
but the bottom line is... the investment appears to have completely stopped, and manager and players, are now left to their own devices, to turn this grave situation round, "are they up to it"....."WEll you tell me lads, you tell me".

The only thing with that tankie is that we will lose around £4 championship and tv money and how much income we will lose with reduced crowds, shirt sales,etc.

I can see how out goings can reduce significantly - we've already got a squad full of league one players an academy kids, bar sheffers, clingan and possibly cranie the rest of the squad will be on peanuts. Rent will obviously go down.

I really fear for us if we get relegated, which is looking like a cert at the moment.

Why would the rent go down??? 1.2 million a yr will be te rent what ever league we are in!! ( for the ground ) !

I personally don't think Thorn will stay as manager and I don't think Harrison and even oggy will be here by Christmas!

I'm sick of every one saying he's got what he's got and he's been delt a bad hand! He brought 2 goalies
And a striker he doesn't play!!! Barsnley are not a million miles away from our position yet yesterday they looked the team that spent millions! And yes they have a small squad as well!!!

The only time a loss is a loss is when an asset is sold at a loss. This is from how much money is put into a company and how much it is sold for. Until we are sold then they have not made a loss in us. Just more of an investment than they planned to make and I would say longer than they thought to have our club in a position to sell for a profit already.

If all the money is owed to SISU and by SISU then I am not sure where we would stand with admin unless they didn't want the money back they have put into us.

I'm sure someone on here had said that it was in the rent agreement that rent will go down if we get relegated. I'm not sure I believe it either, but the deal was done a long time ago so you never know.

I don't mind the fact he brought in 2 keepers murphy was a free and Dunn will be nominal once the tribunal has taken place. Yes he brought in a striker who hasn't had a pre season and looks a stone overweight to me. I doubt he was ever the top target and I imagine the upfront fee is pretty low, I doubt we paid £500k up front when we couldn't afford £350k for Le fondre. Both Dunn and Cody will be on peanuts and murphy is probably on an average salary.

It's quite clear that the lack of loan's is because we are skint, and add that the fact that the squad lacks quality and the senior pro's are letting him down. We lost our three best players and have only one adequate replacement in murphy.

It was horrible yesterday BUT we had the best chances. Here's a few points I'd like to make:

What the HELL was O'Donovan doing (I think it was him) when he went round Steele and put it wide?!

Got into the box a lot but then the ball to the striker was either not there or very poor.

Thanks lino - stupid of Hussey to gather the ball up as he did in the box but how did the officials miss the blatant trip from behind. Oh, I know, because they love the drama and controversy.

Steeles save from Platt was world class.

And last point - anybody up the back of the stand? WHY was that bloke telling the lads they shouldn't be singing Coventry songs, just anti-sisu songs?! And then he kicked off about it!

Honestly, they didn't sign Le Fondre because we hadn't sold Turner yet. Remember all those quotes from Ken about AT needing to "wheel and deal"? Anyone with football business sense would have said "here's the money for Le Fondre up front, but you need to sell before the window closes to recoup it plus 50% profit for us on top". By waiting until Turner was gone, we missed out on the best-and cheaper-option.

As far as AT's claims that "McDonald was our no.1 target"...that really reminds me of a time a girl I was going out with dumped me, upsetting me not insignificantly, so later that night I got off with a different girl who I knew had fancied me for ages. "You were always my first choice", I lied to her.

She turned out to be a bit of a cow, too. Bet she's fat now though, her mum was massive :p

I think that was what I was trying to get at in context of my whole post. People keep going on about Thorn wasting money by signing 2 keepers and undercooked striker. They were free or cheap and will be on low wages.

Yes we couldn't sign anyone until turner went, but I also bet that reading have paid the whole or nearly whole sum upfront for Le fondre, and I doubt we paid more than £200k up front for Cody.

What irritates me most is that we signed a player who has had no pre season as is clearly overweight, especially as he ha only proved himself in league two. We can't wait 10-15 games for him to find form. At the rate we're going we'll be bottom by christmas. I have nothing against buying lower league players, but at least sign them in pre season or when they are actually playing and on form. It make a big difference trying to make the step up when your playing with confidence.

Exactly stu-we're limited in what we can get, so at least show a bit of strategic acumen and sign them when we need them-not too late for them to be of immediate practical use. Again, it comes down to SISU's lack of football knowledge. I think it was more the little things like this and the lack of loan signings last January (even a 1 month one) that truly p'd off Ranson.

Added that for the first time in a long time the players weren't a team. maybe the confidence is down after Tuesday night conceding the late goal. I question thorn and I know he hasn't the funds but nor did a Barnsley team full of young players who out played us. As for your other post he said there was a fan who was annoying everyone around him. Must be the same bloke lol

One more thing off subject, is that wedding you going in Cyprus next Sunday?
