MVE is my one of my favourite players so I will be sorry to see him go but, for the right fee, it could be the best thing for the club if we spend the money well on improving the squad.
Most people were around the 8m to 10m mark. Of course some went for more.I said a few weeks ago he's not worth £10m, probably more like 7.5m and I got pelters.
He's a very good championship full back but talk of £15m was just absolute fantasy.
Chuck enough shit at the wall and eventually something will stick!!! GIMOC knows fook allI'd be very surprised if it was as low as £6m. Not sure why we're believing GIMOC all of a sudden.
Think about it logically before taking posts at face value.
We paid nearly £4m. SC Heerenveen will retain a healthy sell-on fee, and when you include his contract during his time here that will leave basically nothing in terms of profit.
It wouldn't be worth agreeing to.
It does bring out the horse trading aspect in some.If it’s true I can’t see how the fee is woeful
We place ridiculous assumed values on our players
Good player and been a machine for us overall. But get him sold. Get the money and invest it wisely. I’m not 9 years old anymore so not going to cry about losing a player.
Please respect my right to quietly sob in the background, aged 40 years old.
I'm also 40 and I cried when Hamer left. Admittedly I was massively sleep deprived due to a 2 year old staying up all nightPlease respect my right to quietly sob in the background, aged 40 years old.

Only when the rain starts to fall.I’m not actually crying tbh mate, but if you ever want a hug at the match, I will be there for you.
You know what.
I feel king has to be cooking something.
The whole model is to reinvest and improve. Lampard hasn't made a statement signing yet.
I'm not saying it'll be Doyle- but i absolutely think we'll see some interesting links over the next week
Only because there was a club stupid enough to pay that.I'm quite surprised so many are happy with the fee when in today's market this really is nothing and he's a stand out player in one of the best leagues outside of Europe's big 5. Middlesbrough got £20 million for fecking Latte Lath
Where did that narrative originated from ? I never heard itWhen he signed we were already being fed a narrative of we'll sell him in two years for 10-15 million
The reality is he's done well but nowhere near as well as we hoped. There was a spell last season for a good month he needed to be dropped/rested. He also had a stinker on Saturday which suggests he knew he was off.
KKH was clearly brought in to replace. For once we've done it right with securing the replacement first.
So why hasn't KKH gone to Bayern or Leipzig then if he is a better player ?6.5 M plus possible add ins is bang on. It’s a healthy profit. Unfortunately, being popular and engaging with the crowd at the end doesn’t add any value. Defensively he was just above average. KKH is a better player.
6.5m upfront feels like great business considering whatever appearance/individual performance based add-ons will be added to the deal + a 15% sell on.Im told its done but the fee is woeful
6.5 million up front, 15% sell on
Terrible business let's be honest

Because we as a fanbase are starved for information and are desperate to discuss shite even if we all have a large amount of scepticismWhy are believing GIMOC and some who's source has been sacked?
Mad
Some on here were more than willing to sell Gyokeres for £10million.I said a few weeks ago he's not worth £10m, probably more like 7.5m and I got pelters.

If MVE is so much better why hasn't he played for a premier league side in Europe yet using your own logic? So why hasn't KKH gone to Bayern or Leipzig then if he is a better player ?
Answer is because he isn't and SBT spin doesnt change that
What your point? The same site values Josh Eccles at 7 million
Can't believe we're already arguing over a player we havnt even seen kick a ball in anger yet!If MVE is so much better why hasn't he played for a premier league side in Europe yet using your own logic?

Honestly this forum gets more bizarre by the day!!!!
Roll on Saturday when we can talk about a game again.
That’s a crazy argument. We seem to have tied KKH up very early. Maybe circumstances at wherever he goes have changed. Maybe anything to be honest. So why hasn't KKH gone to Bayern or Leipzig then if he is a better player ?

For me he's at a similar stage to where MvE was when we signed him . He has bags of potential and could be better than MvE but he's not currentlyThat’s a crazy argument. We seem to have tied KKH up very early. Maybe circumstances at wherever he goes have changed. Maybe anything to be honest.

MVE mainly catches the eye due to his pace and his fist pump celebrations; he was / is great to watch, but was often caught out of position. That said, I thought he was a solid fullback, who stifled quick left wingers and often marked them out of the game.
I haven’t seen enough of KKH to make a judgement on whether he’ll be as good / better, so let’s see. I think the biggest ‘miss’ will be MVE’s fitness levels and endurance through a full season.
If KKH can stay fit, shows better defensive discipline, and has pace to burn, then I’m happy to redirect whatever delta there is between their respective fees to another position in the squad (or a young, promising understudy to KKH).
Im not sure I buy the whole “caught out of position “ thing - often just a football cliche which is often incorrectly used.
His job was often to get high up the pitch when we have the ball, but fortunately he has the pace to make excellent recovery runs. If the ball gets turned over because someone else has lost possession, it’s not his fault he is high up the pitch and an opponent is now behind him?!
Still think he was / is a better defensive outlet than an attacking one.
