It’s taking the piss to be honest, compared to the types of fees you see flying around for certain others. Though the source is GIMOC, a lying piece of shit at the best of times.Yes I did think £6m would be sort of the fee, anyone expecting double figures was going to be significantly disappointed. Its clear he was earmarked for sale, and as the window progressed our demands would drop.
Unfortunately he's a right back, and there isnt a huge demand for them. It’s taking the piss to be honest, compared to the types of fees you see flying around for certain others. Though the source is GIMOC, a lying piece of shit at the best of times.
Its what he wants. Like the hatters for craving attention. All over X now Gimoc, look what you’ve done

Even so, 10 million is small change compared to other positions. 6 isn’t worth it.Unfortunately he's a right back, and there isnt a huge demand for them.
I think Doug probably is banking on the sale, and would rather recoup £6m than nothing at all this summer.Even so, 10 million is small change compared to other positions. 6 isn’t worth it.
It would still be 50% gross profit, not to be sniffed at allConsidering we bought him for nearly 4m.. you couldn’t lie straight in bed
Profit is irrelevant if we need the cashflow.I'd be very surprised if it was as low as £6m. Not sure why we're believing GIMOC all of a sudden.
Think about it logically before taking posts at face value.
We paid nearly £4m. SC Heerenveen will retain a healthy sell-on fee, and when you include his contract during his time here that will leave basically nothing in terms of profit.
It wouldn't be worth agreeing to.

Is he definitely an upgrade?Gutted to see MVE leave loved having him at the club. First time I seen him look not his usual self in the friendly at the weekend but that might be me just looking into things too much. Wonder if that’s the last time he wears sky blue. KKH is definitely an upgrade I’m just worried about injuries we don’t have the backup to replace and don’t get me started if we have a CB injured

Well it is speculative yes thats the point. But if the fee was £6m that would explain it. We quite clearly planned to sell MVE this window hence we signed KKHWho says the club desperately need to sell to support cashflow?
It's all speculative rubbish at this point.

If those are the options then sure.I think Doug probably is banking on the sale, and would rather recoup £6m than nothing at all this summer.

No.Is he definitely an upgrade?
He isn't a downgrade eitherKKH is not an upgrade.
In your opinion. I however disagreeKKH is not an upgrade.
No its not a fire sale, but a squad of our size isnt big enough to house 2 quality RB's. We cant afford that luxury.I think it's been alluded to previously that the club clearly operates on a model of bringing in exciting young talent with a view to developing over a period of a couple of years and if we're not in the PL by then, DK will say we won't stand in their way if they wish to secure a move to a higher placed team either domestically or overseas and the right fee is tabled.
I suspect that's why MVE is being moved on. Not because of some kind of SISU-style fire sale.
Why weren't Wolfsburg signing KKH then?He isn't a downgrade either
Under previous regimes he would be sold cheaply with no replacement. We have had his replacement here for weeks and already prepared for him to leave and can then improve other areas of the team tooNo its not a fire sale, but a squad of our size isnt big enough to house 2 quality RB's. At the very least, he's a better defender. MVE is overall a better attacking threat but KKH is younger and has developed rapidly so we've not done badly at all.KKH is not an upgrade.
Well Van Ewijk already played under their manager for a start. Feel free to have your opninion i just look forward to your grovelling when you realise your wrongWhy weren't Wolfsburg signing KKH then?
Because they don't want to? I don't know. That Victor Gyokeres must be shite because nobody apart from Arsenal wanted to sign him.Why weren't Wolfsburg signing KKH then?

Yes which is what I've said all along? We always had MVE earmarked to go, especially considering KKH came in.No, but I think we proactively looked to secure KKH and it was likely understood internally that MVE was off. Him signing on with a new agency was a huge indicator of this.
Also, that move was potentially fast tracked as it wouldn't shock me if we got him on a better deal if we bought him before Villa's PSR deadline.
DK has always spoken about bringing in players if the deal was right.
