Why? Where are you going to pick up someone with his ability willing to sit on the bench behind our starters?

You pick up someone who has the potential to displace one of the starters in good time - basic succession planning, which we’re not very good at yet.

You don't tend to aim for players happy to sit on the bench. No sure why some people on here always see things in such a way.

I’m happy to sit on the bench for a low wage, should they sign me?

As a player though I imagine you look at the team you are joining and think "Am I going to get a game". We have a very strong first 11 so you would think anyone who joins will accept that they aren't just walking into the starting line-up. KKH as an example. Likewise, if you bring in someone superior to a position we have, you risk ousting a player who is playing well. Tricky.

Also got the fact that, before we kicked off the season, very few people would have had Torp down as undroppable.

Thats Kai Andrews, no? Just because we didnt spend money on him doesnt mean he's not a squad addition.
Unless he suddenly goes on loan in the next few days, looks like he's going to see minutes this season.

Raphael will see minutes too, he was bought in with potential to realise, still only 21yo.
KKH is succession planning, so was Bassette, Brau too to an extent.
They haven't all come off perfectly yet, but doesnt mean we aren't succession planning.

We had a playoff achieving squad plus Kai, Raph, KKH, Brau and Bassette as the intended developing pack. Thats us planning ahead.
We're still desperate for a good-right-now CB though.

And most of us didn't think much of Gykores when he first arrived on loan. Similar with Haji.

You can never quite tell. Perhaps Simms will turn out to be the second coming of Messi
