I've already said at least 15. If we sign him of course. I'll even do another bet with the money going to charity like last time.

Headed goals against Nuneaton Borough included?

Only if we only count goals scored on Saturdays.

Hard to judge him on last year the team was struggling to score in a relegation battle no confidence. With a full pre season and proper service and without being involved in a relegation battle this lad could score goals. A few early season goals and we could have a different player on our hands hopefully

He could be to us what Yann Kermagoat was to Bournemouth after his disasterous spell at Leicester.......

Hard to judge? Everyone else seems to be coping.

He offered more effort than Nouble when I saw him.....and did well at Hull in the past.........not one I would race to sign but showed glimpses may be a handful
in this league given a good pre-season.....he went round the goalie nicely at Colchester......but then hit he post when easier to score!

Well he certainly seems to have had the ability. Confidence could make all the difference. Possibly he was gaining in confidence which is why he started to improve?

Some good goals there. He appears to win and score a lot of headers. Was he playing in the Bundesliga in them clips? I think it may be much easier to win headers in that division because most likely the defenders would be bought on the basis that they are good footballers technically. However in this league centre halfs do not have to be good technically and are most of the time massive brutes.

Coventry City once held the British Transfer Record - for Larry Lloyd - he was still crap

If I remember rightly it was a record for a defender but not the british transfer record

Why should he be any different to what he was last season. Who have we signed to make us a better side than the one that only just escaped the drop last term.

Of course but he won't be running around the pitch in his boots will he. As yet we haven't brought in any new blood to do the battle. I hope Mowbray makes the difference but what comes to mind is silk purse etc.

Similar to what was said about Thorn. "He can only do so much with his hand tied behind his back" or his own favourite: "it was like swimming the channel with an oven on my back"

He already did - with a team weaker than the one I expect us to have this year.

I liked him, admittedly he had a few bad misses, but tbh he did show some class, he was fairly good with the ball at his feet, and he kept getting chances, which all good strikers do. I agree with TM and think he could be a 20 goal a season striker.
We need to really add to the midfield tho. If we don't, then I doubt we will see anything different to last year, as one chance a game is not what a striker should be judged on.

TM: "I am going back to what I see on the training ground every day and his ability to finish with consummate ease". Says a lot about our defence then.

Training situations are not in the same category as that of a league game. Very rarely are "Over the top, aggresive" challenges made by defenders. It makes it that bit easier to have "Training games" with high scoring being the "Norm"

Wasn't Shaun Miller the best natural finisher Pressley had ever seen?

Maybe Pressley was right. However, for some reason Pressley decided not to give him that chance. He always seemed alright on the rare occasions he got a game.

How did his strike rate at the club compare to Proschwitz?

You'd better go and tell that idiot Tony Mowbray. Why not also tell him about the time you nearly played at Highfield Rd or whatever it was.

@ fernandopartridge Knowitall......... Not nearly..TWICE.(Tranmere, and Peterborough) There are a couple of ex-Pros/Semi Pros, that post on here. Try asking them if what I say is true. A young Academy lad just signing Pro forms and goes in a bit hard with an over zealous tackle on your £50m Striker and breaks his leg. The owners/Manager and supporters are gonna love that eh? Just for the record I'm not saying TM is a idiot, but he knows the score. He'll tell you what he wants you to know.

That's a coincidence, so do I. I tell people what I want them to know and miss out the other bits. It's like a converationy/communicationy type thing.
