Mowbray wants to bring back Proschwitz permanently...

Pressley hadn't earned the benefit of the doubt though, if Pressley had tried to sign him 18 months ago I imagine he would be given the benefit of the doubt at that point.
 
His finishing in the warm up before the games were horrific. At County it took him 7 shots to score one.
He is a big lad but doesn't offer much. Tudgay is a lot better at holding the ball up.
 
TM: "I am going back to what I see on the training ground every day and his ability to finish with consummate ease".

Says a lot about our defence then.
 
Liked his effort but was shockingly bad I thought, Worst finisher I'v ever seen at the club

Yep. I studied him in warm-ups too and 8 out of every 10 shots were dragged wide of the post and miss-hit.
 
Having read what TM has to say about this, I'm confident he knows exactly what he's doing, and I feel confident about this signing now. Even though he was pretty bad whenever I saw him play, I can accept that lack of fitness and confidence had a lot to do with that. So I'm confident because TM is a manager of integrity, and someone who trusts his own judgement, and that's good enough for me! There's no question the right supply for him, if he knows he'll get it, will make things a lot easier for him. But if he gets it and doesn't capitalise, then that's different. But I'm happy to go with TM and believe he will score goals with fitness and confidence when he steps out there.

Mowbray is a good manager and I'm not sure why he's here but he will sign some poor players.

I doubt even Proschwitz would want to drop to League 2.
 
I wanted it to work for him here. I liked him, but even I could see it wasn't going to work out for him here.

However, Im prepared to give him a second shot, with proper pre season behind him if this deal happens.

Do think hes an honest footballer who was probably trying too hard, hence his massive misses during his time with us.

Do think the penalty miss could have been missed by any of our players last season though, so ill exclude that from the list of poor misses. Just look at our stats; he wasn't alone in missing from the spot.

Yup, I take it he was worse? Kyle was crap that was in championship so as pros was that bad in l1 I'd say he was worse last season. Hopefully he somehow completely changes next season if we sign though..
 
Signed for Hull city for £2,600,000 in 2012 - must have something - His goal ratio when he settles down at clubs is quite high - needs to have a good run in the team, be encouraged by a manager that rates him and you just never know - The £20,000 a week pay salary he was on at hull will have a few 00 taken off

Not at Nottingham Forest though under a proper manager who nicked him off us for £60k, managed him properly, made him a player and he went on to win a league title medal, 2 European cups and a number of league cups, not bad for someone who was crap !

With us he just got fatter and fatter and lazy. Milne wasn't a bad manager.

I think that's harsh. We survived against incredible odds and had the best season this club will ever experience in mine and probably generations to come lifetime.

Hill was an idiot to just chuck him. He should have been kept on in some capacity. Then again as a chairman Hill was an idiot full stop.

It did seem harsh to move him up or on just when we got to within a whisker of Wembley
Then he went to Leicester and IIRC they were relegated then immediately promoted
followed by success In Turkey and worked with several big clubs + England In a coaching capacity + was considered for the England role when Revie got It
Not too shabby IMO
 
He's not great but he's better than Nouble, who most on here proclaimed to be the second coming... :whistle:

Plus we actually attacked... in an era where negative play was the norm, too.

Not many CCFC managers have thought about winning a game first, rather than not losing.
 
Back to Proschwitz, Milne talk should be a different thread. For me the German certainly improved and could have had a few goals. We have to remember Tony Mowbray is having to juggle the finances and is restricted to who he can sign. There will have to be the odd gamble, I take Proschwitz as a bit of a calculated gamble for Mowbray having seen him and worked with him on the training field last season.
 
Say for arguments sake this was Pressley keeping NP after his performances back end of last season there would be uproar! Seems the blinkered glasses of TM appointment is clouding many people's judgement and what it tells me, only 2-3 new faces will be coming in and that'll be loans. Anyone at Crawley will tell you they were happy to see the back of him when he went off. He missed so many guilt edge chances last season which almost cost us. He's not proven and the massive transfer few hull paid is irrelevant

I take it you forgot those 2 glaring misses that he missed shooting towards the telegraph stand last season. Both 6 yards out and both closer to the corner flag than the goal and that pen miss at Crawley was a timid shot to say the least

i dont actually think anyone is suggesting an intervention and a fan based consortuim to take control of team affairs. I think its just that a few people have an opinion on this striker and have voiced than opinion on a forum.

Without an opinion on here, it would just be astute and grendal arguing about a bet

Well he certainly seems to have had the ability. Confidence could make all the difference. Possibly he was gaining in confidence which is why he started to improve?
