That is my fear , apathetic fans that think a lovely away day at MK will make up for a run out at non league every week

It's not apathy. I trudged away from the game yesterday as pissed off and angry as I've been for a while. But, we're 4 points off an automatic spot, so take a breath.

What do you think should happen then, we change manager 2/3 through a season when were in touch with the promotion chasers, or perhaps you just want to see more angry rants on SBT? I'm not clear what you're calling for.

That's why I was happyish when we got kicked out the Checkatrade.

How do you know other teams don’t make this excuse? My villa supporting colleague said exactly the same thing when they went out of the cup for example.

My understanding is we had the 8th biggest budget and despite losing key players for the season we're 8th. That's' par, but expect us to exceed that expectation and I'm still confident we will. Robins has worked well under difficult circumstances and unrealistic expectations but hey let's change the manager because we'r still a huge fish and the last 20 times we've done it has proved worthwhile!

And then next year we will be bemoaning why we didn't take the opportunity this year and analysing where it all went wrong.

Agree now is the time , we have run out of chances now , we simply have to move on ,as a fan I am entitled to ask questions else what’s the point . It seems some realise our situation and the rest could not give a crap

Okay, let's say the logic there of the 8th in the league budget is correct, what do you think it will be next season?

Crowds will surely dwindle further and therefore it would be even tougher still for us to compete.

When people describe biamou as immense and casually accept below mediocrity as superior it’s a worrying sign.

Not if we make the play offs.

Everything isn’t as black and white as you make out.

Considering 33% of fans feared we would relegated to non league if we got relegated from league. Hasnt materialised.

We have 50 points . Already safe. With 16 games to go. When has that ever happened in the last 50 years in any division you muppets.

The managers not the problem.
If the owners give you an 8th place budget then that is the target they are setting you.
If Robins finishes 8th then the owners will be happy as that was their target.
Robins and the team need to over achieve to get out of this league.

It won' matter as Robins will exceed the budget predictions and we'll be in League 1. I still genuinely believe, but perhaps I'm simply delusional.

Doing as well as could be expected

1. Not easy to turnaround relegation form of 18 months (i.e. January 2016 to the end of the season)
2. Injuries to key players
3. Teams relegated to this league generally do not return instantly

If we are In this league next year we will have fewer fans, a smaller income and hence a worst team.
This year is make or break.
From my point of view it appears to be fans with many years of support that are leaving.

5 years ago 8th place in League 1 was embarrassing and unacceptable. 15 years ago 8th place in the championship was unacceptable and embarrassing. These days I just try to enjoy the few games I can make it too. Everytime I feel we are turning a corner something like yesterday seems to happen. At the very least we need to make the Playoffs this year. To have never made the Playoffs in any division is some what depressing let alone the fact we haven't finished in the top 6 of any division since 1970.

Lol funny thing is we win the next game. Accrington. Or turn around our away form vs Colchester away. These sorts of pathetic threads will disappear.

They appear again after one defeat. Then go quiet after a couple of wins.

Wish some fans who are craving consistency show some consistency in their thoughts.

Not when it's extra defeats.

Frankly I find the cup as a distraction a weak as piss excuse. If that were the case, were we distracted on October 17th? Had we played too many games then?

Plus we don't know what sort of deal Wasps will give us. That could greatly effect what sort of budget we have to play with.

Plus if we don't go up do we believe we will still be able to hang on to McNulty and Jones and Bayliss etc?

I have a mate who’s a Northampton Town season ticket holder and he’s shiting himself at the prospect of relegation back to league two. It’s a shity league to get out of and he knows it having observed it for seasons. Warned me when relegation was confirmed for us last season not to expect to come straight back up, not to expect it to be pretty and be prepared for a few seasons down here unless we’re lucky.

We do keep losing though where we expect to win.

Every time we win I am believing that we will follow that up with another positive result. Why shouldn't we expect to avoid defeat at Forest Green and Morecambe?

That may well be true, but to suggest we sack Robin's now would be nuts imo. What would that do to the team spirit everyone was euligising about a few days ago? Yesterday was very disappointing, and 2 points out of 15 against the bottom 3 may well cost us, but to panic now and change the manager could derail the whole season, open up wounds and be very divisive and distracting.

Indeed. The season is going as well as I genuinely expected. Bradford were down here years, Luton and Oxford dropped again. I think a season where we've not been out of the top half so far isn't too bad. There are some hysterical fools on this thread.

I totally agree.

Don't get the logic that if we don't go up this season we will have another good chance next. Not at all certain.

I think it could be a number of seasons down here and that is going to result in more fans lost from the club.

It's a dire scenario that could easily manifest itself for us.

You need a reality check. You think we have divine right to be above this divine your deluded.Your really are laughable and a clueless fool.

Let me enlighten you mate. No one in this division don’t care about where you think we should be or how big you think we are.

We are on an equal playing field with teams. Most these teams are well run businesses who have owners who love the club. I’ve made this point yesterday when some other fool was giving it the billy big bollocks about how big we are compared to FGR.

No one gives a shit about history or reputations.
