Waiting for a train so thought I’d try and put together our most expense team based on what we signed players for in a 442. After a bit of research I’ve come up with this.

Yes it says undisclosed fee, but we offered 4 million plus Cedric Rousell which was agreed with Wimbledon but then Rousell refused there personal terms, I wouldn’t have thought it would have been a free.

Could have had Lee Hughes in there for 5m.

Should have got him at Christmas - would definitely stayed up....
History could have been so different - arena 2000 would be ours, never heard of sisu and we could be grumbling about playing Huddersfield in the premier!

We had the chance to sign him in early December for 4m but said that was too much. Obviously we paid 5m a month or two later.

We paid nowhere near that due to him failing a medical. It was an appearance based fee. No more than 2m
