Their chairman was previously at Worcester Warriors when they went bust. I’m surprised Tyson Fury hasn’t offered to save the club.

Sounds a bit like the Sheff Wednesday debacle then. I feel for the fans of both clubs.
It's going to be fine soon. John Textor is trying to save the day!

Sadly yes. Fekkin disgrace and the EFL should be accountable based on their fit and proper owner bullshit. I'm not saying financial incompetence should be rewarded, but when you have clubs of 100+ years going to the wall because of bad owners for the value of a top Premier league players weekly salary, the game is fucked. Relegated them and put it in the hands of a fans group with financial help meaning they can't stretch their budget.

They are still alive - but on life support.
They are still members of the National League.and have a couple of weeks grace until this is reviewed i think.
Think we'll see a "Nuneaton Borough/Town scenario" here. Owner will liquidate (?) and they'll re-appear in the Northern Premier League. (Next season)

Horrible for their fans and any employees of the club in it's current form.

Not sure if the squad is still Mish mash though?

Tbh as a Punjabi I can see it from their pov. If they don't give him a chance no one else will that's for sure. He's well regarded in the British Asian football community and this is the next challenge for him. First ones through trenches get bloodied and all that.

The amount of times I told my senior manager exactly that in my last job, but did he take that on board?

No he bloody didn't.
Just think Morecambe is a very tough job for any manager no matter their skin colour. Could be a multude of reasons it's not working

Didn't they not have many senior players when the takeover happened or something? Lots of players came in quick on short terms deals or something?

One of the reasons could be he's not good enough. But I think most managers would struggle given their situation that's all

And like I said he's still marking a step forward for his community which is a good thing overall at least even if he won't make it himself.

He’s really not looked all that good so far and comments from other NL fans said he needs sacking. Take it with a pinch of salt though, it’s a squad that was chucked together at the last minute.

A bit like when Paul Ince broke through as a black manager though, he may also just genuinely be not very good at his job. Which is ok.
