Sheffield Wednesday have sacked Gary Monk and he's entire backroom team.

A bit harsh so early on and didn't they start on minus points??

They did start on -6 yeah but they've been awful for the most part.

When people talk about managerial merry go round and people still getting jobs he's a perfect example. Living off a good 3 months at Swansea 5 years later.

I think I read that Blues got rid Of him as he was pushing Bellingham to sign with his agent mate. The
modern day Harry boy.

According to a Brum mate of mine, he tried to persuade Bellingham (and a few of their other prospects) to sign with his agent pal. A group of parents including Bellingham's complained to the club saying they would take Jude and his younger brother elsewhere, so they got rid of him. Paid off for them when you consider the fee they got for Bellingham from Dortmund i guess. Sounds like an all round dodgy geezer.

Wasn't really aware of all of that to be honest. That makes more sense now.

Although they might have been awful, had they not had the 6 point deficit, they'd be 5 points ahead of us in 18th.

Paul Cook is available. Would be a great appointment for them. Given his ability as a manager, I have little doubt he'd keep them up if he were to be brought in.

Tony Pulis odds on favourite for the job 😳

I'd have thought Paul Cook or Nigel Pearson would be the obvious choices.

Nigel Pearson is an ex Sheff Wednesday player, so probably the fans choice.

It's a fair point. Your posts are incredibly niche, so wouldn't it make sense to have a 'Philosorapter's Stats' thread that you can just add to?
Then we don’t have to see it in every thread. I get it, he finds the stats interesting and others may do so have a thread on it. It’s the same as the politics shit creeping in on every thread.

Did alright at Macclesfield was it?

Southend not so good but was there money problems? I csnt remmeber

I would like to see what he does with a stable club

But if i was a wed fan I would want Pearson no doubt about it
Serious money problems at Southend, they're a total basket case!

So are / were Macclesfield tbf, and he did indeed do alright there. Jury's currently out as to whether he'd be any good as a manager or not, but certainly not enough there to write him off.

There's enough in his inane ramblings though...

Would be a ridiculous risk for Sheff Wednesday &, although their owners are also basket cases, I can't see any chance of it happening.

Gary Monk is another of many managers who flit from club to club and achieve little Harry Redknapp has made millions out of it.
One thing that is certain Monk will get another job.
