Well TM has done his bit - 2 year contract on his terms - a CCFC dream come true.

But what of us fans what should we do to ensure Mogga has made the right decision.

With slight passing reference to Red Ed's tablet of stone here it is:

1) appreciate the magnitude of who we have as our new manager as a man, player and coach at this level - priceless
2) bombard the ticket office with ST applications - could be 10K plus
3) make the Richo a fortress it should be
4) continue and increase the fantastic away support
5) be patient give the man a chance to weave his magic
6) banjo the boo boys you know who you are
7) encourage ALL players who wear the sky Blue shirt
8) reorganise family functions that interfere with match days
9) from now on in following CCFC is a given not negotiable
10) lastly many thanks again for giving us hope and desire to follow a team we know is in more than capable hands

One final message for TM, if you think that the support and fervour for your brilliant feat in keeping our club up was impressive, you aint seen nothing yet

19 points out of a possible 39 in 13 games in charge, admittedly with someone else's players. Terrible performance against Crewe at home. I'm slightly more optimistic now but there is a lot of hard work and negotiation yet before I start cancelling everything else out of the diary !

Reasonably happy with him as manager; he's a sane choice in that he's got some experience, and not a terrible track record but yeah, tbh midtable and us actually scoring goals would make me reasonably content after last season!

With the positive news of TM joining and hopefully bringing some fans back and the feel good factor, this could be the start of something very good. The only thing SISU need to do now is back the manager and keep fisher away from making any stupid statements to cause negativity and piss off the fans again.

calm down folks.....yes, hes relatively high profile for the 3rd tier, but its not like he was massively in demands was it......or he wouldn't be here.

I wouldn't mind betting he'll be the top earner for managers in L1....and our playing budget will be up in the top 6 ish too...so on that basis, we've got to achieve Play-offs as a minimum.

He is a big signing for the league we are in so i dont think we could have asked for better. You see when people like Saunders move in L1 clubs then you know we have done well. He has the whole summer to stamp his mark on the team and get us up in the mix.

For me 6 and 7 are the most important and the main reason our record at the Ricoh is so bad. The players seem to play so much better away on the whole. Away = fantastic support whatever the scoreline. At home, it all goes downhill the moment a player makes a mistake. In my opinion until we sort these two things out it doesn't matter who our manger is, we will still fail at the Ricoh. I really want to be proved wrong....

Yeah....but that was the budget PRIOR to TM & his hard-nosed negotiations.....so maybe up to 6th now. He's not quite starting from scratch either is he.....He's had 14 games to have a good look at the existing squad & has binned off 8 so far....and now hes got a full close season to get his squad, formations & tactics together....
That, Plus the alleged Mowbray touch & larger crowds than most, I'd say Play-offs are a realistic target.....in fact, if they are not the clubs minimum requirement this coming season, then we may as well give up......


Obviously all of the above stands to be scuppered by a classic & all too common sisu fuck up.....and we're never too far away from one of them are we?

14 of the 19 points were won away (4 wins, 2 draws, 0 losses). The Ricoh form is the answer to everything (or is it 42?)

The facts remain, by all accounts we are financially competitive in this league, we (should) have larger attendances than most & we have appointed (another) relatively high profile manager plucked straight from the queue for the managers merry go round.....

It's like picking the bones out of a car rental agreement abroad in terms of what you are originally quoted and what you end up paying and what you are covered for if anything goes wrong. It's all as clear as mud but I hope TM has sorted some of this out in extended discussions !

Of course playoffs are a realistic target, that is what we should be striving for next season without a doubt but we should accept that is an overperformance and not a minimum requirement or we'll have people calling for his head even if he is doing as well as we should be expecting and that won't help us move forward.
