There are always too many threads covering the same topics! Would take a lot of moderating to stop though.
I sometimes think threads are merged too often. If for example there is a rumour about us signing a player (i know, but it occasionally happens) then fair enough merge all the individual threads about the rumour. BUT if some news comes the next day where it is confirmed then that should be a separate thread. If a Mod moves that then sometimes it's hard to find.
How do you feel the site is being run?
Is it being over/under moderated.
Is there too many threads that we are allowing to run when they cover the same topics.
Are too many threads being locked down?
Are we allowing too much foul language or are we being over sensitive?
We'd like to appeal to all Cov fans whether they are regulars at the Ricoh or live thousands of miles away (like the Isle Of Wight).
Let us know your suggestions and we can try to improve the SBT experience for all.
1) Too much F'ing & C 'ng not necessary at all - deeply offensive to children and others who may be looking
2) Although threads may be outwardly similar the slant could encourage fresh banter even on the same subject
Don't ask for our opinions then moan when we give them. All I was saying was having a different thread when something is actually confirmed. There's a difference between rumour and fact. So usually you get 4 threads on a rumour, merge them. Then you would get 4 threads on a signing, merge them. End up with just 2 threads. That's all. But as Rich says, this is intended to gauge general opinion. If no one agrees with what I'm saying, then ignore it.
Overall I think this site is run really well. Keep up the good work.
So you would like us to moderate swearing and leave all threads running even if they are a slightly different take on the same subject?
Well it would seem not many want to comment/vote so we shall continue as we are for now.
Rich, I get the feeling you are washing over the things I want more of!
I'd like to see abusive posts removed - I don't just mean when we are rude to each other, to an extent we're all big boys, but at times it goes too far.
