How do you feel the site is being run?

Is it being over/under moderated.

Is there too many threads that we are allowing to run when they cover the same topics.

Are too many threads being locked down?

Are we allowing too much foul language or are we being over sensitive?

We'd like to appeal to all Cov fans whether they are regulars at the Ricoh or live thousands of miles away (like the Isle Of Wight).

Let us know your suggestions and we can try to improve the SBT experience for all.

I sometimes think threads are merged too often. If for example there is a rumour about us signing a player (i know, but it occasionally happens) then fair enough merge all the individual threads about the rumour. BUT if some news comes the next day where it is confirmed then that should be a separate thread. If a Mod moves that then sometimes it's hard to find.

There are always too many threads covering the same topics! Would take a lot of moderating to stop though.

I agree but then we get a different opinion such as Clives below.

If we merge and leave the original link would that be better? If there is a rumour about a player and they then join it is the same subject at the end of the day.

1) Too much F'ing & C 'ng not necessary at all - deeply offensive to children and others who may be looking

2) Although threads may be outwardly similar the slant could encourage fresh banter even on the same subject

So you would like us to moderate swearing and leave all threads running even if they are a slightly different take on the same subject?

The idea of the thread Nick is to get the general concensus. If that poll ends up saying things are being done just right, we shall carry on as we have. If it ends up saying things need to change we can take the most popular point of view and work to that.

Don't ask for our opinions then moan when we give them. All I was saying was having a different thread when something is actually confirmed. There's a difference between rumour and fact. So usually you get 4 threads on a rumour, merge them. Then you would get 4 threads on a signing, merge them. End up with just 2 threads. That's all. But as Rich says, this is intended to gauge general opinion. If no one agrees with what I'm saying, then ignore it.

Overall I think this site is run really well. Keep up the good work.

I agree but I would be tempted to make them into 1 thread. At the end of the day it's about a player signing or not signing with the club. It's all one topic isn't it?

Well it would seem not many want to comment/vote so we shall continue as we are for now.

1) On the swearing front an emphatic YES - don't mind the occasional FFS or WTF as it,s not in your face, used it myself on many occasions.

2) An example of this was when Billy Davies was touted for manager with many one line responses but no substance/specifics - I started a new thread specifically outlining BD's managerial career with full stats but it was immediately pulled as being "already a couple of billy ones" which was a tad unfair - it should have been given a run of an hour or so and then if no response then pull it

I want more swearing, more pictures of nude chicks and when the word c**t is typed it automatically appears in bold, underlined and flashes

If you lot can report posts with swearing then we will happily keep that in check. I don't read every post and every thread so there is a chance we may miss the odd word if not reported.

Rich, I get the feeling you are washing over the things I want more of!

I have asked for an 18+ area but Nick says you should go to a porn site if you wanna see naked ladies. I disagree but he's the boss.

I'd like to see abusive posts removed - I don't just mean when we are rude to each other, to an extent we're all big boys, but at times it goes too far.

You need to report them then. Us mods don't read every thread and every post. Report it and we can tidy it up.

I don't mind the swearing but that little 'wanker' smiley gets my dander right up for some reason.

Like most of us I get annoyed at the petty squabbles and pointless childish name-calling that goes on, but then Nick doesn't post all the time!!.....lo
