It's a feeble attempt at humour. Perhaps we should have a minutes applause for the Neanderthal who verbally abused him.

Football's shit now. Can't even scream abuse at a small child without liberal do-gooders clucking away.

The amount of pilchards on here who fail to grasp sarcasm is fantastic.

the irony is , that most clubs abuse their own ball boys, by teaching them to be dishonest -

1-0 up with 20 minutes to go, all of a sudden, its an effort to walk, and throwing is out of the question

It is this sort of thing that is setting a child up to be lambasted - There are a lot of emotions in football, and if you see somebody deliberately cheating to prevent your team from winning, then the emotions will spill over

I am not defending the fan,s actions at crewe, but at the same time football clubs need to look inwards first

It was 20 past the hour of four
On the 2nd visit of the league 1 tour

The ball was kicked right of play
"Get it quick please" the army did say

But no said the boy grinning ear to ear
I'm not going to rush, I have got all year

The army was disgruntled and some were sad
But not one bloke he got quite mad

"Hurry the fuck up you little prick"
The ball boys lip quivered and he felt a bit sick

The army went mental and called him a disgrace
The lads had a result though he is now mascot at our place.

:p

I'm a sucker for wordplay. Whoever goes to the game tonight should sum it up later in haiku form.

Ball boys are probably shouted out angrily by crowds at 90% of games. I think it was the fact that according to reports this individual felt the need to run to pitch side and get right up in the ball boys face about it and make it personal that made it so wrong
