The formation is undoubtedly helping but it's more the willingness to forego possession & play quick, counterattacking football that's doing it for me. It's no surprise the likes of Wright look much more at home in this style.Good half of football, this formation makes us look so much better and a lot more exciting to watch. Should have had a penalty for the push on Wright, and their lad (Saville?) is lucky to still be on the pitch.

MR's argument (and backed up by the stats) is that it's the possession based teams that have more sustainable long-term runs at promotion. The problem is you have to be incredibly well drilled & have the players comfortable with doing it. Whilst we have upgraded the quality I'm not convinced we're there yet. Trying to run before we can walk if you like.

100%, as I've posted before the 5-6 games we've dominated possession 60%+ we have lost. Yet every game we have won, the opposition have had more possession than us. We are, and have been for a while a counter attacking side.Also: 34% possession.
