I've never been arsed about the league cup and probably never will be. Love the FA cup but this is just a distraction, like the the EFL trophy was. I spose a good run means some extra money but I wouldn't be bothered if we got knocked out. Blood some younguns in tomorrow I say
I think the same, as do many other Millwall fans. The league cup and the bloody international break coming up are two distractions most Championship clubs don’t want or need.

We have 5 1st team players out with injuries already, and we’re only 3 league games in, so if you’re coming to the Den tomorrow night, don’t expect many of those players from the first 11 playing. Like you, we’ll field some youngsters and probably play a not so match fit Nisbet up top to give him some much needed minutes.

On the one hand it’ll be good for the squad confidence if we win, going into our home game against Wrexham on Saturday, but equally tomorrow night we could end up with injuries to our youngsters who we might have to call upon in the coming weeks until our 1st team injured players come back fully fit.

Given that we made hard work of beating Luton reserves in the last round, I’m sure you’ll be competitive. Just don’t want it to go to pens. Would rather set off earlier having lost in 90 mins! 😊

Like to get through simply so we could potentially draw Villa at home or one of the really big clubs in the next round. 25,000 fans paying on average £20 would be worth half a million to the club and that's not insignificant

Not a bad call as it gives us a chance to test out a plan B.

The way football is going, the formation matters less and less. BTA starts out wide and darts for the box at the nearest opportunity when the ball is being progressed in opposition half. It's pretty common to see a triangle of MVE-Rudoni-BTA and once MVE can overlap, BTA goes to the box.

It'll be good to try different combinations. Haji-Simms looked good v Luton and with a bit more clinical finishing, should have been a clearer margin of victory. It'll be good to see Rapha get more minutes because we need to develop that talent for the important games to come.

My team would be:

Wilson
KKH
Thomas
Kitching
Bidwell/Brau
Rapha
Torp
Grimes
Rudoni
Simms
Wright

Or, the same midfield / attack as QPR but Rapha for EMC as I'm under the impression he's managing a knock.

Millwall is a tough opponent so don't think we can play the Luton XI again but equally, it's not worth risking important players (like EMC) that are carrying knocks.

Grimes we know is basically indestructible judging by the amount of minutes and consecutive games he played at Swansea.

We could keep him in and rotate the rest.

With the squad as it is I'd want to avoid any potential injury to our CBs and EMC. But guess one of Thomas/Kitching might have to play.

Eccles was in training on grass in the Unseen video, maybe he might be on the bench tomorrow night.

Is there any reason why we can't play Bassette?

All the talk of him going to Utrecht seems to have died a death. If he isn't going there we need to have him in the shop window and give him some minutes in case he stays and we end up needing him in an emergency. Keeping him and him not playing at all, at least in this competition, makes no sense at all.

Because he’s shit and his attitude quite obviously stinks.

Because we want it to be competitive

So was Bassette.

I noticed Frank putting a stop to some keepy uppy stuff that a group of players were involved in when it became a bit of mess around.

Sounded like he'd had enough of it when he clapped his hands for attention and said 'lets go lads I've had enough of watching that'

Playtime over me thinks.
