Love him to bits. Love the giant Milan flag someone brought as well. More of that.

Probably the 3rd best signing after Vik & Gus since the return to the championship

Gonna be hard to replace in the summer if we don’t go up, his recovery pace saves us so often

I'd put Rudoni before Hamer. Hamer is at his peak now. Rudoni is still improving and is only 23. I wouldn't even consider swapping Rudoni for Hamer even with a few million chucked in on top. His energy levels are unreal. Effort always 100%.

We desperately need this sale sorted asap it seems. If Bling is going to refuse to fund any further incomings, we need to be doing all we can to get him out the door. Hope we see this done before the end of the week.

I’m worried that there is little interest in him. If that is the case, it makes the signing on Hayden very baffling.

Agree with this totally.

Bling is clearly very reluctant to put up his own money on signings we need more importantly.

What a waste of a signing Brau was then. Let’s hope we can get rid of one of Da Silva or Bidwell then as we will have 3 LB going to waste

I don't get this though. Why would we sign a player who got a clean sweep of awards last season to play him out of his strongest position (in a position we have 3 others as it stands).

We won't. MVE will likely go, but if he doesn't there will be a lot more rotation than previous years.

If MVE stays its a win, win. Competition is a good thing.

I think the intention would probably be to move Bidwell on. The idea behind Hayden would be that for the whole of last season we were lucky with MVE’s fitness. When anyone else played there it was a serious weakness. It’s obviously possible Milan moves on. Well then need a Hayden understudy but as it stands he adds much needed depth.

Could hayden or mve not play further forward? Our right hand side could be 2 from them and sakamoto.

Possibly, it would be useful if KKH could operate as a RW occasionally away from home, as that's when Sakamoto often becomes anonymous, and KKH could give us a more solid look.

But I still think MVE is on his way unfortunately.

In which case we'd still need another RB - I don't get the clamour to play players in a role they've not been known to play in before

I wouldn't swap for all that and O'hare chucked in as well.

I think we had to sign KKH before the end of June or he would have gone elsewhere. Milan will go but I think it will be for £7/8m.

I think you have under valued him given his age and contract status. We signed him as an unknown quantity for about 4m. Since then he has gone on to make a significant impact on our run to the FA cup semi finals and successful league campaigns. He is as quick as pretty much anyone and premier league clubs really value pace. 7 million is a tiny outlay these days for premiership clubs.

I'm confused.

Most on here said we overplayed MVE because we didn't have an adequate back up. Obviously you weren't one of them

We don’t need a back up right back worth £4m. That would be ridiculous

Fans want more squad depth.
But as soon as we start signing people and have two decent players in one position - fans, someone is leaving!

Elite athletes love competition, it brings the best out of them . They don't want an easy pass.

You will never join a top club if you say, "Am I guaranteed first team football?"

Pretty sure MVE is expected to leave BUT I think the KKH timing was driven by Villa wanting it done in the previous PSR window. So it’s possible the MVE deal isn’t a certainty.

KKH can play to a good level in a position of need (LB) unless and until we sell MVE, in which case he’s a ready-made replacement. It’s a smart signing.

This would work if we didn’t already have 3 left backs
