On a side note Charlton have sold out their initial allocation of 2000 so asked for more tickets.
Doug has given them a further 127😂
great to see the new seating plan giving priority to home fans
dynamic pricing?
those 127 tickets should be £300 each. 🤪

Why would any one accept dropping 2 points?

It makes zero sense.

We are the best side in this division, we are going for automatic promotion, so why accept dropping points before the game has even kicked off? That is total fucking madness.

When we were 2-0 down yesterday im sure many would of taken a point. Thankfully Lampard wasnt one of them, so why are you so defeatist?

You make champions by having a champions mentality. All this "musnt lose" or "take a point" bollocks is the talk of losers and cowards.

Think like a winner if you want to be a winner.
I would say it makes perfect sense.

We are not going to win every game this season. We are going to lose some games. Lampard himself has said this. We are going to lose games and are going to draw games.

Tuesday could be a very tough game. A draw would be fine. It maintains the gap.

You want to win every single game, but we can't expect to.

No-one is accepting dropping points before a game. It's 1st vs 2nd away from home

A draw would be just fine.

I think you misunderstand, I know we won't realistically win every game, but we have to go into every game elieving and expecting to win.

Accepting less than 3 points before a ball has even been kicked is not the mentality of winners.

If we end up with a point (say after getting 6 players sent off and dodgy penalty decisions against us or something) then we have to look at why we didn't get the 3 points and put that right.

But winners never talk about accepting anything less than winning. That's the mentality we need to address as fans.

Do you want to be a winner or are you happy to settle for second best?

There's no pressure for losers!

I’m fairly certain a few posters on SBT saying “I’d take a draw here” won’t affect the mentality of the team going into this.

Think I’d go 532 here which seems insane given the form of EMC and Saka. Just think away from home, no Rudi or Wright you probably want BTA and Simms up top and a three man midfield which means three at the back. Woolf or Lats depending on who is fit. Would be tempted to rest Dasilva and play KKH as well but maybe not change too much at once like Wrexham so:

Rushworth
Thomas/Lats Woolf/Thomas Kitching
MvE Grimes Torp Eccles Dasilva
BTA Simms

S: Wilson, Lats/Perry, Bidwell, Brau, KKH, Allen, Rudi, Saka, EMC

Can always go back to three up top if we need.

So just like the Stoke game then

Did Frank accept a draw?

Go and look at previous match threads, and you will see, its the same posters accepting 2 points being lost at places like Derby, Portsmouth, Millwall, and Stoke etc etc
Where would we be if those games all ended in draws

If we keep accepting draws we are destined for another 20 plus years in the wilderness.

Did the fans saying “I’d take a draw here” online affect the result at all?
Who knows, but if Doug and Frank have changed the mentality inside the club, why cant it be changed in the stands!

When has a positive mental outlook been a bad thing?

Boro 1-2 Cov, 2 latish goals after a nervy game. I think we're fitter and have a better mentality than everyone. Being top seems to put fear even into good sides, and once we have our usual 20 minute barrage at a team it all becomes very self fulfilling for the opposition. We're a very good, consistent side and have actually been uncharacteristically good in the midweek games so far. 10 points clear, the march continues, time to believe! PUSB

Ya all great and that but doesn't change the fact that a draw would be a decent result so any sane fan would take it away to second place

It doesn't mean you hope Simms misses a open goal in last minute to preserve the draw although some posters act like it does.

Of course we will go into every game believing we will win. But that's the team. The players and the manager.

We as fans, are different. I am always pretty confident to be honest, but do think Tuesday will be tough. Would feel a lot more positive if we hadn't given away two very sloppy goals yesterday.

Wolfy and Rudi on the bench. Not yet ready from the off.
Would be slightlu unfair to see Eccles lose his place but I think Asante should come back in and be busy around Simms shoulder. Wright not fit.
DaSilva my need a break, but I'd be very reluctant to make too many changes. Play him for 60 minutes and see where we are at.
So should be the same starting 11 but could still be Eccles as he can help strengthen midfield away from home.

Expecting a druge of a game and we need to defend better. Could actually be a 0-0

Charton lost 1-5 at the Valley yesterday. 😂 Are their fans masochists.
It was a bit of a wake up call for Charlton, and some of their defending was awful, but you have to say they have started the season really well, if they had won yesterday they would of been in the top 6, which is amazing considering they've only just come from league 1.

And it shows how even much of this League is. Apart from us and Middlesbrough, every one is beating each other. (Long may that continue)

I'm not even saying I don't think we will win

Saying I'll take a draw is not a prediction. It's saying if it ends a draw I'll be happy with that

So silly lol

Interestingly, even though we conceded 2 very sloppy goals we still did enough to win.

My point being,
that had we of kept a clean sheet we would probably of won 1-0. If we conceded 1 we would of won 2-1

That 15 or 20 minute spell at the start of the second half just blew WBA away, once we got our noses in front we took our foot off the gas and just coasted to victory.
The sending off was as a result of them not being able to cope with our pressure.
Had we of needed more goals im sure we would of got them

(Although a 4th would of settled any late nerves)

This will be a real test for us. Their new manager will want to have a flying start, and their players and fans will be well up for it, so we will need to match their intensity. If we do then we ought to be ok, but if we are a bit off then it could turn into another Wrexham scenario. It would be fantastic if we could win though, and build up an even bigger gap to 2nd place.
