It's the confidence. First two goals involved first time strikes, by simms and grimes. Under Robins I was often frustrated by the unwillingness to do that. These are professional footballers, they train for this.

As I said early possession doesn't really matter anymore, football in 2025 isn't about possession anymore. It's nice but teams are starting to ignore possession and look to create more chances even if that means letting the other team have the ball and then hit them with fast direct attacks. Having possession for the sake of having possession without really looking like scoring that many goal, what is the point ij that?possession stats?
