No word of a lie I played against the kid on a Sunday morning a couple of weeks ago... He turned out for a pub team. So no, I doubt very much he should have been offered a contract by city!!

Released by Leamington a couple of weeks back, was on the bench for Bedworth yesterday. Played against him.last year when he was playing for Coalville town. Seemed to be carrying some excess timber....

Yes. They have! And Otis... nice one...made me smile. Ok. He looked to have a body mass index that indicated he was a little over his optimum weight for his height.

Quirk was and still is a decent keeper. He was shit on by Coventry and not kept on as a youngter at 19, we was let go while with a knee problem so not played for a year.
A Coventry kid who would have gave everything, remember how he reacted when he played his last game, he went wild as he was so emotional about playing for his beloved City.

Why was he shit on? Because he loves coventry that should grant him a contract?

We have made that mistake with mcsheffrey

Nick, he covered for Westwood and always played well. City had a choice, Danny Ireland or Quirke for another Year, they picked Ireland and he only ever played half a game. Quirke was released with an injury and in the end Coventry had to pay for his surgery, but this young lad would have played for peanuts, he must have been good enough to have played at all. His record in a City shirt is better than almost every Keeper, be it only 4 games.
All I am saying is that Coventry could have had a decent keep for less money who actually WANTED to play for us.

I am not saying he is bad, but surely if he was that good he would have been picked up by now? I wouldn't say he was shit on, just released.

didnt thorn say at the time ccfc would do all they could tovfind him a new club, i would rather he stayed than ireland.

still hes young enough to work his way back up the leagues

I thought he looked decent, he was only young so had room for improvement.

I guess Oggy had a say if he stayed or not.

The fact he is where he is shows how good he is -- not very.

I'll never forget that save he made against Norwich in his last game, quality.

I remember him. He played when Westwood said he was gonna leave so Coleman left him out for the last game against Reading. Ireland was injured so Quirke replaced him and did a great job. Kept a clean sheet too. We made a big mistake letting this kid go. He could have made something of his career, instead of being where he is now if we just put some faith in him. He's better than Dunn

I believe he made 4-5 appearances in that run in.

The pressure was just about off. He was very young and obviously untried .

He did however go unbeaten and threw in a couple of clean sheets ,making some top saves ,showing supreme bottle when doing that stepover V Reading.

Certainly showed potential that would have been better invested in than Ireland who in his few matches /Part Matches never imposed himself in the same way.

I'm pretty confident that the boy must have had some social /personal issues ,like that hot prospect ,was it Clark-Harris in the summer.

If that is the case there is something lacking within the game if through education /mentoring /counselling such matters can't be addressed.:(

The match vs Reading was with Thorn as manager

Westwood was ill/injured
