You could say since the council got involved with the club -

cheated out of freehold ownership
forced due to lack of revenue into selling our portion of ACL
refusing to help the club when in perilous financial position to protect an 'asset'
inviting in an out of town sports team.

you could say the last owners -

sold highfield road and then rented it back at an extortionate rate
vastly underestimated the cleanup of the old gas works
relegated from the prem
£60m debt
alleged dodgy deals

we we're destined to fail with or without sisu because we had hardly any revenue due to the shit situation put onto the club by the last owner and the council.

Fair play Grendel at least you just come out with it. As oppose to leakage in nearly every post you make. Then make out you hold both sides accountable

You can be proud overall but disagree with a few things. However if you disagree with more things they do than less then you are probably going to be against them overall.

The post was two years ago (I think)
So more has come out in the wash since then. However yes overall I agree with their stance from what I have heard so far.

At the moment regarding SISU I like the fact they said now it is important to put bums on seats and are backing TM left right and centre.
Credit where credit is due.
If we get to the championship and do that there. Then we are back to scratch.
However I still feel in this sorry saga their actions are the bigger cause of the overall situation.

Oh I misread the question -I thought it was who do blame for sisu being here.

I mostly blame the council for setting an impossible contract which meant the club would always go bankrupt.

You mistake someone having the opposite opinion to you as trolling
It's not. It's just a completely different perspective to you.

When people have different opinions to you you accuse them of being the same person.

Looks like the pr is getting fired up:

Why should this bother City fans? Well, if you are local tax-payer in Coventry it might concern you that SISU’s wish for ‘substantial damages’ under JR1 and JR2 may, if successful, eventually have to be paid for by you in one form or another.

The thing is thought that it is true. And we are already in times of austerity where cuts are being made to needy services. It might make no difference to you if you don't depend on these services. But a lot of people do.

So what are your preferences? Keep the money where it is needed or give it to faceless investors who have played their part in the clusterfuck that has occurred at our club. I would prefer it if the people involved had to pay and not the needy lose out.

Of course, I'd rather money be with old people's homes, local charities etc etc.

Is it actually the case though?

It's the way it's being spun, could see it miles off.

It just means if it was to happen at all, it's trying to direct the anger to sisu rather than the council.

We already know supporters direct were working with the pr company last time...

Is it? A lot of things need to fall in to place before anyones council tax is being handed over to SISU.

For a start they need to win their case, if that happens the implication is CCC have done something wrong so shouldn't any anger be directed at them?

If they do win the case they then need to make a successful case for compensation.

If they win that then who pays? The judge this week commented that it could be the state and not the council. And if it is the council they should have insurance to cover any compensation awarded.

As said "may, if successful"

Anger should go to both sides. But the majority of what I see is towards either SISU or CCC. And I also see too much of defending one side or the other. What makes me laugh is when someone says they do it out of fairness.

If it is state aid, surely that's the councils fault? If it costs the tax payer millions, why would people be angry with sisu? If it was the council who were guilty of it

Because they have not done things the right way. It is like saying that I shouldn't be angry with CCC for anything if the judgement goes their way. I am angry with both of them for what they have done to our club. And no CCC or SISU PR from people on here will change my mind.

Seriously don't waste your time
It can't be any more obvious,
Look at what it took to maybe get three lords to make a decision. Purely on is state aid or not. Look at what the first judge (a very intelligent man) who got a lot more the stuff thrown at him from both sides concluded.
You are trying to convince someone who had well and truly made their minds up. However they pretend they are impartial.
You are flogging a dead horse my friend.

I'm not saying anything, I'm saying just the state aid. Just that one situation / decision.

It's like saying is the councils fault for maddison being sold...

I'm not saying why would anybody be angry with sisu at all, just why about the state aid / tax payer money if it happened.

Their minds made up about what? I have no idea if it is state aid, if it is then it's purely down to the council.

Surely that's obvious?

Beyond reason about what? We are talking about the jr and state aid.

Nobody is saying why would somebody be angry at sisu for Northampton, they are saying why would they if the council are ruled to have been in the wrong about the state aid stuff?

Simple really. It's really not hard to grasp.

If you use your logic in a debate
It is the council's fault for everything

Maddison's sale
The move to northampton
It raining today
Traffic on the trip to Port Vale.

You spin whatever others say to suggest that their posts are soley about making the council look good.

So whatever you post is purely to make SISU look good. Let's have whatever post you make spun to suggest it is always sbout making SISU look good.

Astute is wasting his time.

If the Government end up paying out and enables SISU to move on without affecting affecting people in Coventry.

That can't be a good thing just because it actually is a good thing can it?

It's just spin to make CCC council look good!!!!

Have a word with yourself Nick.
