Were we improved without him? Lots of people said we would be............

I think he deserves another go soon. We're not winning without him so give him another chance I say.

If the new manager plays 433 then he's going to be our best option on the left.

The real question will mcsheffrey provide value for money. The answer has to be no. Poor and looks defeated. I hope a new manager finds someone to take him off our hands.

He has been well supported by many. They deserve better.

If we are going 4-4-2 I would say he is a better option than Kilbane on the left, at least he can sometimes beat his man and get to the byline opposed to Kilbane who can't even attempt it

Yep I'm one of the lucky ones

Was he that bad then?

I dunno about Sheff, incredibly inconsistent but always seems to pop up with vital goals which is what we need. But then on the flip side Mcsheff and Hussey on the left side is just asking for trouble.

I am not sure if it could be worth it to put Kilbane at LB with Sheff in front of him as Hussey could probably do with being taken out the firing line anyway

I wonder if Bell will be able to make an impression in this league either

He doesn't seem interested at all :( All he seems good at is getting beaten / losing the ball and then fouling their player to stop them from getting away.

It's not the system I am afraid, it's years of sub standard purchases, poor management from boardroom level. Now the money has gone you can see the board for what they are......

If we want some pace why not try one of the young lads eg Roberts, thought he looked quick and useful when he played against Southampton last game of last season. Clearly none of the more senior players have the pace, some dont even have the confidence. Shake things up - dont just reshuffle the same 12 or 13.

It isnt working so try something different .....

To me of late, McSheffrey seems to be on autopilot.

A bit like Brit Ekland doing a book signing at a convention for a great film she made over 30 years ago.

Will Roberts looked ok in Pre season, but so did Jeffers.
We're in desperate need of something different, which is ironic considering we have bought in 10 players.. I genuinely felt sorry for mcgoldrick yesterday.. He looked like he didn't know what hit him!.

isnt it just going back to things that have not worked recently well enough and hoping it will be different this time. Sheffers is past his prime and would he be better with McGoldrick than Elliott i do not think so. There were flashes of an understanding developing between the two yesterday .... if Sheffers had been in similar positions you just know he would have his head down with only one thing on his mind shooting, front players have to be cleverer than that
