He's made the biggest impact since Wisey I think.

We have to do all we can to sign him and I hope they actually try and don't come out with the 'they offered 5 times more' bullshit

I just can't see us keeping him. it would be great but Championship clubs simply have more financial firepower.

I'm just enjoying him scoring when he wants for us, while we still have him.

There's an assumption that DMC WANTS to stay. Every interview I've read with him is left with him being vague, basically saying that he's leaving his options open.

The interview I read he said and I quote "I could never say no to Coventry City, they've got my career back on track"

Exact quote from the interview on the Offal -

“I would never say no to Coventry if something came through in January but you never know what Forest are thinking. But also you don’t know what they are thinking here so not everything is in my hands.

We should start talks with Forest now get a deal in place and sign him as soon as the transfer window opens.

He's a forest player and we first have to meet their valuation of him and then hope that someone doesn't outbid us.

The equation from Sisu's piont of view is simple. If they want to get their money back then sign this bloke asap. He will get bums on seats

The valuation can't be that great. He is out of contract in the summer when he will be able to leave on a free.

CWR were saying that someone high up in the club said they are trying everything they possible can to keep him.

Hope that's true and not just more words.

I have been going to games since the early 80's. He is starting to look like our 3rd best striker in all this time. Dion and Quinny were top strikers for us. If he became our player I could see him challenging for the place of best striker for us since at least the early 80's

In league one......Very Very happy with him, but to compare with some of our legends is a bit far off, just yet anyway!

3rd best striker in 30 years???? A bit hard to judge when we are playing at our lowest level in 30 years

That's the thing that taints Clarrie Bourton's record somewhat. The fact that it was done at a lower level and not at the top.

Dublin's record stands mighty proud.

Don't forget this is div 3! Cyrille, gibson, gallacher, huckerby...

unfortunately i dont see there being any way we keep him, even after his loan period is up.

the very minimum i expect and hope from the club is that they are doing as much as humanly possible to keep him. their effort on that front should be a given. But on this goalscoring form he is going to be attracting interested from clubs with resources that far outway ours. With him being out of contract in the Summer to add to that, he is a buying clubs dream, and I cant see there being any way he wont get some bids come in. I cant see how Forest would let him stay on loan, as that would effectively see out his selling potential for the club. As much as McGoldrick is saying nice things on the club website...A) Lets face it, if a championship club comes in for him, he is going there, and B) it wouldnt even really be his choice anyway. Forest will sell to the highest bidder, simple as. does anyone really see that being us??

All I hope for is we do work out a strategy to try and free some decent money up and put a really decent offer in. Then, you never know........but I fear we need to start bracing ourselves for his departure witihn the next couple of months

The irony is the more goals he scores the more his value increases and the more clubs become interested.

Championship sides can easily outbid us and can easily offer him higher wages. Over 3 years they can easily offer a contract worth half a million more than we can.

I said looks and not is. He is still young so will learn with experience. Huckers was the offside champ for sure. Whilst he is getting a goal a game I will say he is looking good. He is outscoring the rest of the squad. When was the last time we had a goal a game striker then?
