Of course people are surprised. We didn't sell out a number of cat a games last season when kids were charged £25. We're now charging up to £35. It's a massive surprise. Increase in STs is minimal, the ground plan and available seats doesn't look much different to last season. We're not selling these at £45 whatever people say:Football club in being run like a business shocker.
Not saying i agree with the prices, but is anybody actually surprised.
We're talking the top A and A+ prices. We'll get a decent gate against Hull, but as soon as the first cat a+ game comes around people will swerve it and I hope they do. £36 for kids for a 12.30 televised game against blues early in the season is not the draw you think it is.
They'll make this one re-mortgage on the gate, surely?Wow just WOW !!!
BLUES at Home Adult £45
its hard to say whether Doug has got this wrong or not until we see more of the category choices.
Cat B prices and below are pretty reasonable, and so far only 1 game (which youd expect to be in most demand) is above that.
There's effectively no seats left in the premium zone anyway so no point getting wound up by those.
For me its just the kids tickets which seem too high
He will, but it's almost like people have therefore seen Cat A (not A+) as acceptable, simply because of the rip-off games likely to be Blues, Leicester and possibly Wrexham. When Doug gets inevitably asked on CWR, I'm pretty sure he'll explain that Cat A+ are for one or two fixtures.
did away fans get charged the top price last year, as in will they be charged the 'premium zone' price? When Doug gets inevitably asked on CWR, I'm pretty sure he'll explain that Cat A+ are for one or two fixtures.
Dear 22 EFL chairman and Chansiri
Our owner is a bit of a greedy bell-end, who will be charging your fans ridiculous money for their one-off visit to the CBS Arena. I plead with you that you don't reciprocate this by charging us the same or our loyal travelling fans will experience this far more frequently and unsustainably at each ground we visit. We bring noise, we're largely well behaved (we all have a few idiots), we'll spend money at your ground, please don't punish us on his behalf.
Yours, CCFC away fans
Only two games at £46 (potentially 3 with Wrexham if both are doing well and our last game of the season) So you therefore think £39 for the other 7-8 games that will be Cat A as opposed to A+is ok? I certainly don't.It’s only going to be 2 games that are at the ridiculous price
Cat A+ pricing is crazy
Rest of it looks standard championship pricing
It's not the draw Doug thinks it is, it's a disgrace. Those Cat A+ cannot be defended.
The prices in the other categories are around average for the Championship though.
The hospitality matchday prices have been released . There is a Season Ticket discount to upgrade ( a lot of people on here have asked for that)
Doesn’t say what the discount is ( might depend on the price of your current seat) but not publishing this would Lead you to believe it’s not much of a discount.
TV money will just mean more spent on transfers and wages by clubs chasing the golden egg because supporters are unrealistic and expect instant success. All that does is breeds higher pricing and even more greed. It won't make a difference at all to ticket pricing. It's crazy if everyone had less, the playing field would still be just as equal.Cat A+ is definitely steep, the only saviour is it's probably only going to be a couple of games (Birmingham, Leicester, maybe last game of the season).
I agree, the rest looks fairly standard Championship pricing. Until the TV money is filtered down better, ticket pricing in general in the Championship is only going in one direction unfortunately.
Our owner could use some of his money rather than ripping off the fans. The same people wanting new signings and a bigger squad are same people who want somebody else to pay for it, it seems! Given the gulf with the PL it's inevitable that the club would seek to make money from walkup ticket sales. If the ground is full then there isn't a strong argument against it really.
we are all in this together right? we (the fans) are doing our bit.Our owner could use some of his money rather than ripping off the fans.
It's almost like they're exploiting fan's behaviour when we rush to treat every concept with glee and awe, they're just ultimately responding to data.TV money will just mean more spent on transfers and wages by clubs chasing the golden egg because supporters are unrealistic and expect instant success. All that does is breeds higher pricing and even more greed. It won't make a difference at all to ticket pricing. It's crazy if everyone had less, the playing field would still be just as equal.
He will sign some players for a couple of million, his cucks will be out singing his praises, and then he will flog Haji, MVE and Sheaf on the last day of the transfer windowwe are all in this together right? we (the fans) are doing our bit.
Great season ticket sales again, for some this came with increased costs.
increased gates
increased purchasing of shirts etc.
large attendances for cup games
so lets see what the owner can do to match our efforts now!
He doesn't have to really I don't think.we are all in this together right? we (the fans) are doing our bit.

They just forced us to play miles away from Cov instead and caused fractures amongst the fanbase.SISU never did this... actually starting to miss them
I am a non season ticket holder and someone liable to have to pay these prices, but nevertheless I don't get the level of bleating about this. Entertainment prices have risen massively in the last few years. Going to a Test Match or a decent gig costs more than double the price from 10 years ago, and much higher than these prices.. Given football is the major spectator sport in the UK it shouldn't really be a surprise if it follows suit, particularly in our case where there are only limited seats available from match to match.
The only way these prices become an issue is if the team under perform, but if that were the case then the extra supporters would probably have stayed away anyway at last seasons prices.
