Well they are aren't they?Let’s all try and find some common ground.
Are the A+ prices a joke? Yes
Do all fans have plenty of opportunities to see us play without paying the A+ prices? Yes
Is anyone missing out on seeing us play? No

You'd have to load it elsewhere though, how about corporate?Id remove CAT A+ completely tbh
they won't be that much, only £30 for adults!!Yes prices are too high for the kids, but if we get to the Promised Land
Not in the home end thoughthey won't be that much, only £30 for adults!!
Would you not agree that the idea of, ‘I’m not bothered about match day prices or what an away fan pays as it doesn’t affect me’ is a bit selfish? For those who can’t afford a season ticket, and there will be many in this city who can’t, is it okay to say that if they want to go to an occasional game with family but now can’t because of the extortionate prices, well that’s okay, it doesn’t affect me?You are the one who raised the issue of this affecting us. You said, "we'd be paying".
I merely pointed out that it wouldn't affect most of us.
I genuinely feel for folk who struggle to afford tickets but I believe season tickets are the answer for most of us. For the rest it's supply and demand.
I think that's what he's suggesting here.they won't be that much, only £30 for adults!!
Not just Baggies having a dig, this from Blackburn's board :-
The irony also that the League and other clubs bent over backwards in recent years to accommodate Coventry's off the pitch issues including dragging teams and supporters all over the place to Northampton, Birmingham, Burton, etc. to play games all to make sure they could fulfil their fixtures and now they are settled down and stable are going about ripping off rival clubs fans like this.
Of course the EFL should intervene and take a hard line stance in the same way they should have been expelled from the League for not having a suitable stadium available but expect nothing to be done.
Absolutely ridiculous of course that there is a £30 cap in the PL yet nothing lower down the divisions.
I think they do have a point, fucking ludicrous to pay £35 for an U18

How am I trolling you fucking helmet.
Well they are aren't they?
Some missing out?Who?
Some missing out?
Who cares what other fans say and especially not them. Be interesting what comes out when they finally go bust. Not just Baggies having a dig, this from Blackburn's board :-

They're currently sat in 17th with a wage bill as high as ours
I mean were treated no differently to any other club and the EFL: made it clear that we had to be back in Cov within a certain time frame.I've seen others mentioning the ground share and it's totally irrelevant.

Not replying to all that straw man. It bears no resemblance to what I said.Would you not agree that the idea of, ‘I’m not bothered about match day prices or what an away fan pays as it doesn’t affect me’ is a bit selfish? I‘m lucky enough that I can afford a season ticket. However, my son and granddaughter wouldn’t be able to have one if I didn’t pay for theirs. There are probably hundreds of people if not more in the city and surrounding areas that would love to go but simply can’t afford it.
You Say that as you don’t go to away games why should you bother about what people are charged. Presumably you enjoy the tribal atmosphere at matches. An awful lot of that is generated by having large partisan groups one supporting home the other away. It would be a shame if that aspect of match day started to fade because people can’t or won’t be fleeced.
if you did travel away you would know that the cost is not only for the ticket, it is for travel, parking food etc. It also involves long hours on the road. Like lots of others who do the same trips, I spend thousands of pounds on my obsession every year. It’s my choice, I choose to do it and I am lucky enough to have the time now to do it too. If you believe what successive managers and players say, the backing they recieve is a huge boost to them when they take to the field. If I was being asked to pay £45 plus for me every away game and £35 plus for my granddaughter then that would be the time when I would say enough is enough. I‘d Stay in the comfort of my home, watch it on the telly and avoid those late night motorway road closures. If enough felt like me and the atmosphere at games disappeared I think everyone, possibly you too, would be affected.
80% of games aren’t at the high price
How is that exclusivity?
I had to look up straw man as I had no idea what it meant so I have learnt something from this conversation. Not replying to all that straw man. It bears no resemblance to what I said.
And most clubs fans just took the piss if we're honest. Their opinions mean less than fuck all to me.I mean were treated no differently to any other club and the EFL: made it clear that we had to be back in Cov within a certain time frame.
Get yourself on dragons den.Id remove CAT A+ completely tbh
Capitalist nonsense or not. A Birmingham or West Brom fan should not have to pay more than any other team. A Coventry fan should not have to pay more because a localish team are coming to town. Plain exclusivity and it’s totally misplaced for a mere game of football no more significant than any other league opponent.
I don’t think we should try and pretend that any ticket pricing strategy is going to magically make the economics of running a competitive Championship football club make sense or be any way sustainable. Our ticket revenue is almost certainly currently at the highest level in our history.
Our wage bill is one of the lowest in the division
We have a modern ground for which we receive all of the income.
Yet we’re still making a loss. Why? Because the game has been completely distorted by the mega rich owners of other clubs. There is nothing we as a club can do about that.
Without maximising income, our only options are to borrow unsustainable amounts of money, or to slash the playing budget.
That is literally the only choice
I don’t think we should try and pretend that any ticket pricing strategy is going to magically make the economics of running a competitive Championship football club make sense or be any way sustainable.
Match receipts accounted for about a third of our total revenue in the last set of accounts. Covered about half the total wage bill. Its just part of a set of income streams that the club/Doug will be hoping to minimise losses with
I couldn't give a piss frigg about Birmingham or West Brom fans to be perfectly honest.
As for ours, how would you ensure demand is distributed evenly across all fixtures if the price is the same for all of them?
Why does there actually need to be demand for a game of championship football. Again, that ‘couldn’t give a frigg’ is sleazy and moronic.
I'm not sure I understand your question. If there was no demand the attendance would be zero.
Why is it sleazy and moronic? They don't care about us, so why should I care about them? I only care about CCFC and our fanbase.
You still havent shown me that the birmingham game sold out in the home end , do hurry shit lipsGet yourself on dragons den.
