i think eccles pigeon holed himself as a #6, and its takes someone with the calibre and history to say to a midfielder, you have the talent of an #8, like lampard said, theres goals in Eccles, he just needs to unlock it, remember hes only 25What a midfield we got.

It's good to have at least one home-grown player in the first team. It seems that most teams who go up to the Prem have one who has been there all the way and gets some game time. If we do manage promotion I would love to see Eccles coming on in a huge game against a big club.

His almost signing was when I was at peak info getting, and he genuinely pissed us right around. He had shook Robins hand on joining, had the contract ready to sign with Doug 3 days after that. The club had already sourced him a house, car, all that jazz, everything was ready and waiting, medical and press team on notice
And he literally ghosted Austin and Doug for 48 hours, wouldnt answer calls, emails, messages, anything.
It was actually an agent that has a few players at Forest that knows Austin well who tipped him off that Stamenic was there and was going to move to Forest. At that point Doug rightly hit the roof and won't do business with that agent again.
Blokes a wimp, hid away and never once contacted the club back. Prick will waste away on numerous loans at mediocre clubs for the rest of his career now, fuck him
