No seriously, whats his remit?

Fisher is chairman - dealing with legal academy stuff, new ground etc. Stays in background.
Anderson is the public face - Deals with day to day running of club. Like an MD.
Venus - Is he a director of football? Does he do what essentially Steve Waggott did?

The family business is property development.
Hence the pretence of an urgent interest in a cat 2 academy at one venue.
Other than Ryton, which Joy plans to cash in on. Smell the coffee yet?

Venus is in charge of budget I think Fisher is in charge of being a useless prick and Anderson does absolutely fuck all.How much does Fisher and Anderson get paid.

Waggot was a a bit more business like sorting out ticketing and dealing with ACL as well as helping with recruitment. Basically what they've done I think is split Waggot's role into two jobs with Venus and Anderson, Anderson dealing with the business and day to day side and Venus with the football.

At a guess Venus mainly will be involved with managing and developing the scouting network, contacting and meeting players and agents, drawing up contracts and contract extensions for current players, managing the playing budget, dealing with approaches from other clubs for our players, recruiting new coaching staff at first team/development level and maybe also youth levels.

Although its basically anything football related you can think of that the manager doesn't want to deal with could fall into Venus remit, could involve menial tasks like arranging overnight stay for the team for away fixtures, overseeing any developments/improvements of the training ground, , arranging preseason tour and friendlies etc.

I'm starting to think that MV's job this season will be sacrificial lamb for CA & TF.

I am sure he does more than you realise. But one of his roles is to source players, talking to them and their agents. discussing terms and contracts. He then gets everything ready for final interview/meeting with Mowbray.

He is more budget control, administration, transfer enquiries rather than coaching. He is also the person Mowbray trusts for his opinion. Mowbray confides in him and bounces ideas off him.

Are you so naive to think that the cosy deal by WASPS at the Higgs is the last piece of development we will see there?
The coffee is probably an Irish One!

While I agree with your thoughts ref Ryton, can you clarify what you mean surrounding the family business. Are you suggesting that Venus will be involved with that project if it ever comes to fruition?

Deal between Wasps and Higgs is hardly relevant to Joy's plans to sell off clubs assets, 'cosy' or otherwise.

MV is on the board of more than one company.

I wouldn't be suggesting any such thing, Scottie

Keep sleepwalking Nick.

"There's more to this than meets the eye, it's usually the way". Taps nose with forefinger. Winks knowingly.

SISU don't need CCC/Wasps/CT/Higgs to screw our football club.

It was discussed the other day about things changing at rugby council and needing to build houses wasn't it? Hence the change in heart with the new condition, as they have targets to meet.

This morning nothing as I'm on my phone, as I said on the other thread. I will certainly try and see who the company has links to. Who knows it might come back around somewhere.

Although it's not been confirmed, I do get the impression that his role has changed since joining the board. Rather than becoming a board member to work jointly with his director of football like job, which seemed to work so well last year (or did we just get lucky with last years signings compared to this?), which I think should have been the case, or just keep him as he was!
