Not to sack the manager who signed 10 players after three games.

Not to wait 5 defeats to get the new man in. these decisions may have cost us promotion.

To eventually stumble on Robins because Ince would not accept the wages.

Best decision the owners ended up with. Very good manager.

And a damn sight better than his predecessor -- I am sure everyone agrees with that.

Great 'surprise' appointment. With bigger / more known managers linked with the post he was a hidden contender!

I'm not sure about that, he isn't such a household name with the Premier League armchair fans like a Phil Brown, but he is very well respected within the game and known to be a very good manager, so i wouldn't agree with 'hidden contender'. I get where you're coming from though ;)

Or maybe I'm just trying to big myself up because I was on here calling for him to be appointed this time last year :)

Big Ron was shit for us though.

Big Ron breathed a big sense of optimism into our club, brought some quality players in Salako, Breen, Williams, McAllister to the club and also WGS. True he wasn't a massive success but it was his appointment that started one for the best periods of this football club.

Robins will do the same.

He was most certainly in frame for the job at the time, but I am sure that there would have been outrage amongst a few if he had been appointed.

His appointment started the cycle of massive over-spending with under-achievement that has led the club to the position it's in now.
