Report on MSN Sports suggest he could be heading for Old Trafford. Do we have any sell-on clauses?

At best a % of a % of Norwich's bit. So can't see it being much.

It will be a percentage of whatever sell on percentage Norwich had.

How can anyone know? It could be a percentage of any future fee, the selling club will just build that in to the price.

What do people think he's worth?

50m ? Can't see Leicester letting him go for less than that. So on the bare minimum that Norwich have 10% and us having say 5-10% of that so 250-500k ish?

Could do a lot with that in league 1 (or buy another Chaplin)

Why would we get anything? We sold to Norwich so any sell on see would be when Madison was sold to Leicester.

Callum Wilson - that's what we need to look out for!

As Norwich get more we get a sell on per cent of what ever they get

Apparently we had a clause to have a second bite from future sell-ons.

Basically we get ?% of whatever sell on clause Norwich agreed with Leicester. Nice little bonus.

According to the “in the know” pricks on here he is shyte and was a diver etc......
Man Utd are on a massive rebuild and he will be bought for relatively pennies compared to the other European stars to bolster the team. Good luck to the lad.

They are called solidarity payments usually 1 or 2% of the transfer fee

West Ham after Wilson
I think they'll get him

Liverpool now being linked to Maddison and the price touted as £70m. Leicester rumoured to have paid £20m. If we do have the sell on rolling forwards then we'll get more from this sale than if Wilson gets sold for £35m.

If they both go, Robins will have very heavy pockets.

We wont. We'll get a % of the % that Norwich have as a sell on. With Wilson we get 15% of the gap between £3m and £35m although I think west ham is the wrong move for him.

Let's say he goes for 70mill. 20% to Norwich, then 20% of Norwich's 20% to us?

So potentially 14mill to Norwich then 2.8 mill to us?

That would be lovely if true.

Think Liverpool would be a better move for Maddison than Man Utd.

Disagree in that they play a 433 so don’t really have space for a player like him in the hole.

Don't Leicester play 4-3-3 now anyway?

Madison played as a deeper midfielder for the u21's last week?

Liverpool also tend to be very flexible, so he could easily fit in there. But dont expect them to be in for him mind you. They have more than enough talent at CM

How do you know the terms of the sell on clause? What if it's 10% of first sale profit and 5% of next sale, forcing Norwich to ask for 15% knowing we get 5%? It'll be what's in the contract, and we don't know that.

Could you see him pressing as hard as Loiverpools forwards are expected to?
Though that's something you can learn.

They call it a solidarity payment and its only 1 or 2% of the whole transfer fee

And yet youre prepared to suggest it will be more than Wilsons where we do know that we have a %....

I think that's just a standard thing. Not sure where it came from but we apparently have a sweeter deal.

It may be bollocks but there was talk of the Maddisons sale sustaining the club for a long while

I really don’t think anyone can say that the Maddison sale was bad business.

If he moves for big bucks and we get a couple more million out of it we essentially got 5/6m out of the sake of a player with one good season in league one.

Clearly I don't know. However, it was said at the time of the sale that we retained an interest in his career. I'm overstepping by stating that it will be larger - but £70m is a lot of money and a small percentage, even of Leicester's reported £50m profit, adds up.

He'd not even had that, half a dozen good games in league 1 but clear quality

Anderson said at the time of leaving CCFC that the Maddison Sale will give future income for years to come! so i assume that would mean this?

It was quite clear at the time that Maddison was going right to the top.

I'm amazed that Norwich signed him and that one of the big boys didn't take a punt on him.

Arsenal/Spurs /Liverpool were all watching him and I don't understand why they didn't just buy him for a couple of mil. Should have been a no brainer for them with all the cash they have

Yeah true but i think its been good for him as he's racked up tonnes of games since and its been a fast but more gradual build up to where he is now. It was definitely obvious though he was going all the way.
