Be interesting to know how much the add ons will cost us if we do get promoted this year .lots of our transfers seem to be clause heavy and to that premier league packages , could be quite costly although ultimately worth it

Strangely player values will change dramatically should we be promoted .

We might be able to make some money on certain sales

oh we're screwed. Doug's used the premier league money to buy our current squad. Pretty sure if we get promoted, Simms will cost us around £8m and Wright is £11m

But we could probably sell them both for double

We wouldnt get that for Simms, but I'd be amazed if we lost more than a couple million on him.

on a serious note though - We'd recoup our money on the squad players. KKH would net us 4m again as would Wolfenden. I could see us spending 60-70m - I think Doug would be clever. with it.
I totally agree.

Cant see us being out of pocket at all. These are very realistic valuations on players that may not feature next year should we want to get rid:

KKH - £3/4m
Woolf - As above
Simms - £5m
Kitching -£3/4m
JDS - £2m
Torp - £5m
Eccles - £5m
BTA - £5m

funnily enough i saw on the Boro forum the other day a fan saying because we could bring on a player as good as Simms on for Wright shows how much stronger we are in attack than them. I think a lot of their fans would want him to be their striker next season if they remain in the champ

A young english striker scoring double figures for the champions will be worth £5m for sure.

Someone a while ago suggested that the add ons will be time limited. So if we agreed to pay Everton an extra £2m for Simms if we gained promotion within 2 seasons, that would have now lapsed.
