The derby fan who tipped me off on this says hes good and was wanted by west ham for a reason. He also apologised for our previous loans off them but did point out james bailey was okay

A natural winger meaning we can play strikers as strikers, can't be a bad thing!

Is that correct ? What's happened to that lad from Tamworth ? Wasn't he a winger ?

Yes he’s only ever played 6 minutes for Derby’s first team but that was enough to be named their Young player of the season last year

Good question, he appears to be none of a) nippy striker a la McNulty b) target man better than Max or JCH c) wide man better than Shipley, AB, or (Jones when he returns). Not sure what he is

An overinflated squad just got bigger instead of bringing in loads of players we should have spent the money on quality

Sign enough players, one of them will come good.

Cheer up - you've seemed a bit fed up lately. If you wanted to be happy all the time, pretend you're wearing a Man City shirt!

If he plays on the right and messes up, everyone will blame Grimmer anyway. Lad can't lose.

I wanted to see another season in the top half I quite like it up there, these signings just stink of desperation.

This lad adds balance but also adds to our issue of trying to fit everyone in

Lampard and Derby have signed 9 players this season and 2 play in this lads position so even further down the line but could be good for us,who knows.

Robins has a blind spot with Biamou and until that end he will accommodate him and expect others to fit in around him

But if that were the case he'd be playing two up front rather than Biamou on his own. Biamou will fight for the ball but then he needs someone to lay it off to or make the run in behind. Even the most blinkered Biamou fan must admit he's not prolific enough to be by himself and needs a striker alongside to convert his hard work.

This system doesn't show off Max in his best light as it leaves him isolated for long periods, so if MR was playing to make the most of Biamou he'd be playing the system we did towards the end of last season with McNulty beside him.

So even if you play two up front who would it be? I think the two new lads look like they'd suit being in a two, but not as a partnership IMO. Ponti is in the same bracket as them. So you've got JCH or Biamou to partner one of them and while it's a toss up between the two at this stage I'd say Biamou has the edge as JCH hasn't put himself about as much. Unless you suggest a pairing of JCH with Biamou, but again I'm not overly convinced it'd work although it'd be worth a try.

If this system is being played to accommodate a single player (which I don't think it is) I'd suggest it's for Andreu.

You could see against Oxford that Biamou was getting pretty pissed off because nobody was near him. Even if he was or wasn't winning the header there was nobody really anywhere near him to get the flick on or the second ball.

Equally you have a blindspot and slag him off regardless. Attacking wise he does offer something the others don't (a certain amount of energy and harassing). Also the the thing you always overlook is his defensive qualities, we need his tracking back and especially aerial skills against big sides like Scunthorpe.

If he's a right winger that's a strange one, Id assume we need someone on the left. And now I can't work out how to get him, Andreu and Bayliss into the same side.

Ah well, hope he's good, good luck to the lad.

If it helps, i crossed a bridge in Salzburg this evening and a group of young lads were playing Twist and Shout on their instruments. I saw it as an omen, so recorded a bit on my phone. Will post it on the forum when I get back!! PUSB !!
