That is going to be very interesting, I can only think any loan we bring in will go straight into the first team can’t see him bringing in kid bench warmers.

Are we absolutely sure Doug King hasn't had some kind of serious break down and has just lost the plot? Perhaps someone should check on him. This is getting ridiculous.

I can just imagine Doug is on holiday in Geneva and his brother is house sitting but he left the banking app open. He’s said fuck it, let’s have some fun Mark.

Assuming that's correct, it won't be the up front fee. Probably somewhere nearer to £1 million with clauses for the rest.

| Luis #Binks is preparing to leave the #Bologna . Detailed negotiation between the rossoblùs and #CoventryCity , a Championship club that has just come close to being promoted to the Premier League: the operation should be closed definitively for an amount between 2/3M € . @ZO_it

With all these foreign based signings and twitter snippets, I think our next signing has to be Rosetta Stone.

This Luis Binks lad looks absolute quality. Didn’t realise he had played in Serie
A! This preseason has been unbelievable! Only seven more to sign once Binks is confirmed! WTAF!

There’s a bit in the supporters forum minutes where he’s asked if he’s putting cash into the playing side as well as the infrastructure and he gets very coy. You’ve just got to wonder if the Vik money is really all we’ve got or if he had a bit of a kitty planned anyway.

Looking at the way he handled the Vik deal, I think some people should have a bit more respect for his intelligence. I reckon he genuinely planned to back us, as I get the feeling he is extremely on board with taking us to the PL. Without getting in his knickers too much, it feels like he is very happy to own the club and is really invested in it doing well. Obviously had no intention of shouting about this mythical kitty you speak of, but I reckon it exists, and the money from the Vik sale just boosts it up.

If we still expect to sign 7 or 8 players of the similar standard to what we have so far then I'm frankly at a loss as to what I'll do, but equally it wouldn't surprise me at all. Frankly if they're doing their bit, I feel inclined to jump on the ST bandwagon. Would make no logical sense but what we are seeing right now, without much exaggeration, is monumental.

Can see us getting binks and Whatmough. Think we’d prob like kitching but haven’t just signed a new contract Barnsley likely want too much for him. Possibly go back in for kitching next year if fadz leaves at end of his contract.

Perhaps not as exciting as a marauding goal scoring wing back, but this is another really impressive signing.

Starting with similar (if not slightly more) pedigree than Doyle and a very similar style of player.

What a window!!

When Doug took control of the club I remember him saying Sisu weren't in a position to take the club forward but he was. To me this meant investment into the playing side. And the model that Doug seems to be following is to buy young exciting players and hope we get promoted, but also sell for huge profit when Mark and Viv have worked their magic and the players have hit the spotlight. The championship is a very good spotlight.
