It seems to me that you have had a good crack at avoiding relegation with a team made up mainly of young lads. Fair play to them for that if you do drop which now looks likely.
Could be a mooted atmosphere tomorrow but I'm looking forward to it regardless.
As you will no doubt be favourites to come straight back up (if results go against you in the next 2 games obviously) would you keep Andy Thorn in charge, he comes across as a decent fella & under the circumstances looks to have done a decent job?

favourites to come straught back up, we will be selling everything thats not nailed down, anything of any value will go, even the 10 pack of Tesco bars of soap in the shower cabinet, will be on ebay come June.

The only way we might be favourites are if the parasites,called our owners, sell up to someone. Rumours are there is someone, but we've been saying this for more than 12 months, and they still have'nt put in an acceptable bid.

Its nice someone thinks we are better than we actually are, but we will struggle next season with the set up we've got.Thanks though for trying to lift our spirits.

Sorry for assuming you would do well next season. That's a real shame that anything of value will be sold. I have a theory that the Championship is miles better than L1 so I'm sure we will both be alright this time next season (although I'm sure Scunthorpe fans said the same & they've only just survived). It's been a year to forget for us both, hopefully tomorrow will be a cracker!!

Oh well, I've been following the Rovers for too many years now & my best times were in the Conference, the lower you go the better the away days. Keep the faith !

This club was driven to ruin by a previous ownership, which culminated in our relegation in 2001.

Our current owners just didn't have the funds necessary to turn things around.

Maybe wait until the summer to see what happens? It's more than likely our best players will leave or be sold but I'll still go into next season with hope!

A lot of fans whose teams fall to the lower leagues all say the away days are better experiences, new grounds ,friendlier stewards, and the home support are usually friendlier too.
Very few of us fans on here, me included just,I was 5 and me dad had just started taking me but i have no memory what so ever of those days, can't remember pre 1967 the last time we were in league division 3, but i know a few who still say to this day ,that the most enjoyable days were back in the mid sixties.

Anyway i hope you finish second next year, 32 points behind us, we can all dream can't we.

You are so right coundon it was 1964. My Dad starting taking me in 68/9 and i was 5 in that year, i still can't remember it though.

Saunders quoted as saying they are over budget with the 12 contracted players on the books.

We probably will be the strongest financially but we are far from being in a great position, I think upper mid table for us (depending on who leaves in the summer)
Felt for the Cov fans yesterday, hard to get an atmosphere going in an half empty ground (we have the same problem on a smaller scale) but your team gave you nothing, although it was never going to happen you still had a chance of survival & I expected to come under sustained pressure but your players seemed to have conceded defeat long before the kick off which I think is unforegiveable.

On a side note how did our support compare with similar sized clubs? Was a decent atmosphere in the away end but I doubt it travelled over to the home ends?
