Disappointed in the last series, seemed a bit weird, and not as good as the others. But, otherwise an absolutely brilliant series. Currently rewatched Series 1.

I've rewatched Season 4 today. Can't understand why I didn't like it last time. I apologise to Luther. I must have tired and grumpy.

Whose the woman who appeared at the end and is the guy from Minder who seems to be doing an impression of Fred Dinenage a regular?

Yeah, it is very cliched isn't it. Textbook stereotype.

Ruth Wilson, who plays Alice Morgan and it was the first ever case Luther solved. Since then they have had an on and off steamy relationship of wordplay.

Well that episode was a bit of a mess and didn't really get going at all until the last 15 mins.

Think they may have pushed the boundaries of credibility a bit too far this time.

Hope tomorrow's episode is better.

I assume the Reggie Kray guy has some hold over the detective from the past?

Yeah, kind of. They have history.

John Luther is from the Dirty Harry school of police detection. Lots of skeletons in the cupboard.

Just watched episode three and thought that was bang back on form, after a sloppy second outing. Looking forwards now to the conclusion.

Very good ........ but.......

The Alice killing of DCI Halliday will surely have been witnessed by residents in the street. It was in broad daylight. Even if they didn't see the shot, they would have looked out of their windows and see Alice holding the gun and pointing it at the officer, or at Luther afterwards.

Secondly, re the supposed Luther filmed killing at the industrial unit, George Cornelius took the photo. Why would the police give any credence to any evidence given by this known felon? And when the forensics are examined the ballistics will show the shot fired from the opposite direction to where Luther was standing.

It can all be cleared up in a jiffy.

spoiler alert.......

Hopefully the whole Alice/Cornelius story line has been put to bed now, it was wearing a bit thin.
I'd imagine they'll be another series, hopefully it just concentrates on catching the killer.

I enjoyed it but i think there were too many sub plots on the go and would have liked to see more of the main plot developed.
On a different note i was really pleased to see the trailer for Baptiste in the end titles, i thought he was worthy if his own show when watching The Missing.

mmm i liked Benny - was disappointed he got bumped off as he was useful - in theory Luther could go to jail for dereliction of duty for the shooting of Halliday

What had Hermione done to her face - she looked like a barbie doll !

Bring on true detective
