Doubt they've given any tickets away, there was no significant change in attendance since the last game.
There was 500 more than the last game I believe if this is correct it relates to around a 50% increase isn't it, if so quite significant, although, I'll never be there!!

What was the atmosphere like? Did you talk to Fisher? Any banners at thr game?
Just surprised, given the amount of people there, that there was such a wait for tickets. But everyone in the queue were city fans and they were all paying so I doubt the increase has anything to do with freebies.
I enjoyed it I have to say. Atmosphere was to be expected given the size of the crowd, but it was lively enough. It's interesting how I recognised so many people, the same faces that have I have seen following City away from home in the last 20 years. Some odd stories too, like people who had hitch-hiked to get there. I did sense it was a much more positive atmosphere than I'm used too. A sense that we're all in this together. Also, there wasn't much anti SISU sentiment at all - any wrath was aimed at the council - certainly during conversations in the pub beforehand.
Will I get a season ticket? No, but I'll go back. It felt like my football club today, despite everything, but more importantly it felt like COVENTRY City. If I genuinely felt that we would never come back I would not go, but I do not believe that, and while that remains the case I will follow them.
Amazing to see how far we have fallen now it seems accepted by some that were playing in a shed 35 miles away from coventry 2 games in people's heads seem

I agree ferret my first game there as well , a lot of faces you see at away matches and the pre season friendlies..basically people who don't give a damn about the politics and will follow the team wherever they play

Not going to get into the politics, but if it's mostly anti-council types going, we're fucked. If we're going to survive they'll need to convince the majority too.
Agree, we were class at times, but there are defensive frailties that need to be addressed. Should have buried them in truth.

agreed, after reading the other free ticket threads i rang a mate who has lived and worked in Northampton all his life, he's asked all his friends, family and everyone at his place of work and hasn't found 1 local who has either been given/offered free tickets or who knows of anyone that has.
its not conclusive i know but like you say the only place I've heard off it is on here.

Ill be honest I want to know how many so we can judge attendance properly, but if they're not giving any away when they've just opened up a whole demographic then that's just terrible marketing.

To be honest if you were SISU you would want to keep this quiet. Plus if I was given a free ticket I would also keep it quiet. If I was from Northampton and went to watch CCFC I would not breath a word about it.
