Rafa scored today for Wigan away against Huddersfield
After an indifferent start he's played 90' in the last 5 league games and started some games in both right and some in left sided midfield positions.

Raphael seemed to be playing wingback. On the right first half and then the left in the second. It looked like he was switched to nullify the threat from Gooch who was putting in some decent crosses first half, and he did that well. The shot that hit the crossbar was a beauty.

It was a good goal and a good effort at the end by Raphael. But he will be 23 in September and I think his future will be at somewhere like Wigan

No harm done, hardly cost much and might make a small profit.

I agree. All transfers are a gamble. Just because someone doesn’t make the grade with us isn’t failure. Lots of players have good careers League One, League Two and National League.

A couple of seasons at League One and who knows he might make the step up to the Championship. But at the moment he needs to be where he has a chance of getting first team football.

I'm pretty sure all, or at least most, season long loans have an option to recall in Jan. I could be wrong but i don't think i am.
It has to be specified in the deal. Chelsea didn't put it there when we had Maatsen on loan, so even though they had injuries at left back recalling him wasn't an option.

Does Rushworth have one!?
This is what i got from Googling it. I just think its like i said that most can but its rarely something thats mentioned when you announce the signing.

Yes, Carl Rushworth can be recalled from a loan, as Brighton & Hove Albion did in January 2025 from Hull City due to Jason Steele's injury, but recall clauses are standard in loan deals, allowing his parent club to bring him back if needed, which happened again with a loan to Coventry City in July 2025.

Verbruggen is performing very well for them this season so I don't see them recalling Rushworth to sit on the bench.

They could recall him if they got a big bid for him though and wanted to sell.

Is Obikwu a season long loan, or would we have a recall? Just wondering, with Assante out..
If anything we are more likely sign another striker rather than break into his loan. Asante should be back by February anyway.
