What was he out injured with do you know?
Hamstring I think.

I think he had a bad hammy injury that ended his loan last year. He went on loan to FGR start of thr season but didn't feature first few games as building up fitness then did his hammy again (same one, not sure?) in a behind closed doors game.

It sounds like Savage is a fan as when he injured himself a few months ago he said he was unbelievable in that game before it went.

Other loan news today obikwu and rapha bench.

Mantle starts for Weymouth again

Elliot Betjamann starts again, away at Burton which is a big test for him!

Savage properly praising Dausch after the game. And the interviewer did as well. Said he was class, holding it up, great with both feet.

Look like he'll make an impact
Didn't we pick Dausch up after he was released by Luton's academy?

Only really Moore and Collins getting proper game time from the looks of it. Is Obikwu still managing an injury?

Im theory I'd agree, but they're 5th in the league, 3 points off top and he's come off the bench most games to make an impact. He started their midweek game last week.

He's also missed around 4 games when off to play for his country, not sure if he's been called up again but presumably after Saturday he'll miss their next two as well so yes,he's not starting, but there are reasons why

He's started twice since being brought in and one of those appearances was against Man U 21s. It's not ideal being limited to brief cameos here or there when he's at a stage in his career when he probably needs to be starting.

They tend to prefer playing with one up top and with Collins in front of him he's not likely to get much of a look in.

I do wonder whether we leverage our standing anywhere near what we should. Remember years ago Danny Ward was on loan from Bolton and if he didn’t play we had to pay extra? Not that I like that personally but it would get a lot more commitment from the loaning club.

I don't think our outwards loan strategy has ever been that well thought out really, even under Robins. We should definitely be more forthright in our position with regards a certain guarantee on game time. Other clubs are, why not us?
