Agree with that. Most of the kids I teach are into the usual plastic teams and don't count teams like Chelsea as part of it because 'they only came third so how is it glory hunting' or 'even if they lost the Champions League final I'd still support them'.

Honestly believe this is why most people hate them because of the social media gang whove never been and bang on about how they're reds.

Guarantee I've been to Anfield more times than most of them. Personally speaking, I know and work with loads of them and they're sound. Idiots in every group of fans as there are for all clubs and in all walks...Unfortunately, with the bigger clubs it's amplified ten fold.

They were always going to win it, so far ahead of anyone. My Mrs was a Scoucer (Liverpudlian) as she said (but i loved winding her up saying scoucer). She wanted two things sport wise, CCFC (due to me) to get back to the promised land and Liverpool to win the league. She used to get more wound up than me by some of the Ref decisions. By the end she was more Sky Blue than Liverpool Red. I know loads of you hate Liverpool FC but i for one will celebrate the win with a few drinks and hope it's us one day.

Well I won 50 last night when I put a bet on at the end of last season so not complaining but quite gutted to see how many closet Liverpool fans come out on my FB last night who live in Coventry. I think we went through an era where Supporting Coventry wasn’t cool it had to be upliverpool them United. I would like I would have the same ‘emptyness’ as we did when we couldn’t see that final moment but ours was taken from us but most of these probably seen their team once or twice. To put in the performance they did last season and still lose out could have really knocked them back and had them thinking we'll never win it again.

In the conversation for the best Prem team ever, looking at 200 points over the last 2 seasons with a Champions League win thrown in for good measure. Klopps done it the way it chould be done, a real project over the last few years. Only United's 99 and 08 teams come close to this Liverpool side for me.

Love Liverpool when I've visited, cracking city, just can't stand the "fans" who do the stadium tour, have a picture of themselves touching that "famous" sign then try to rub it in your face.

Deserved and I guess after 30 years I won't begrudge them it. But hopefully it'll be another 30 years before the next one. A lot of top clubs supporters whine a lot (it's fun watching Arsenal implode after calling for Wenger to be sacked because he only got them into the CL for God knows how many consecutive years) but somehow I find Liverpool fans are in a league of their own when it comes to victim mentality.

Agree to a point mate. The plastics, Irish & Scandi tourist fans certainly don't help their image....
I've lived here 25 years now & got both blue & red mates but I have to say the reds are generally less knowledgeable of football outside of the PL bubble than their blue counterparts.
However, the LFC club doesn't endear itself to non-reds imho either.....from the shameful use of CPO's to create rows of derelict houses to aid anfield redevelopment (after attempting to pinch the public green space of stanley park fell through)...
...or the recent arrogant application to trademark the word "Liverpool"....or the more recent shameful (backtracked) plan to furlough staff despite making £50m+ profit in the previous year....

I could go on...and on...

Anyhow, I'm in L15 & plan to join the North-West supporters club/whatsapp thingy next season, so maybe catch you for pint or 2 next season PB.
