How about the Sky Blue Ribbon draped on the each of the seats instead of the black t-shirts....

...a lot cheaper.....and just as poignant

be better with all the fans at the Ricoh watching on the big screen instead of being at six fields might be worth talking to ACL to see if something can be arranged with the trust aswell that would make a bigger statement a empty six fields live on sky and a full ricoh watching the game :D

That is an option, Im just concerned as sky already have the game live i cant see where they wil be able to fit in us at the Ricoh? Unless we score or something and the camera shows all the fans screaming at the Ricoh. Big statement

"Mass Exodus" seems the way forward then.....

...followed by a conga up Jimmys hill & a piss up in Northants pubs....

Is this something the SB Trust could get behind.....or are we all too divided with regards NOPM etc.??

We could pay for the tickets using particularly bouncy cheques?

Do you think you could realistically fill the Ricoh full of people to watch the match on TV, take away all of the nonsese surrounding the club and a home match to Sheff United in L1 on Sky would attract a crowd of maybe 12-14000, do you think we could realistically get all of the JPT wembley ticketers up to the ricoh to watch the match on the big screen?

Getting 5-6000 die hards who care about the club to sixfields for one match is much more realistic

they will be asking where all the fans are and then they will show us all going into the ricoh getting ready to watch the game could make the prices cheaper than six fields to make people turn a fiver an adult kids for a quid happy days :D

The Ricoh is souless at best and this would only make a real statement if it was full, which I think is extremely unlikely

Live game or not I think the best form of protest is not to turn up.

thing is nobody wants to give SISU any money so the plan is flawed from there i think, personally i wouldnt travel there to hand money over. i will go to the game on sunday at the ricoh (legends game) and would pay to go to the ricoh to watch sheffield game

Whatever we do for this game we must be united in doing so. I have always said lets take the fight to SISU and i would travel to northampton for this one game however i do see SUB's idea carrying on the whole 'we wont leave coventry' idea. Something needs to be sorted soon and the fans united in 1 protest

It will be interesting to see how much coverage the charity match gets, I know that the sky cameras will be there however lets not forget how pally sky and the FL are, and seemingly how pally SISU and the FL are.

I cannot see sky going out of their way to cover our fight against the FL's favourite hedge fund

Get the Sheff Utd fans to take some SISU out banners in and then as many people as possible on Jimmy's Hill, totally peaceful but sure to be picked up by Sky.

Sounds good in theory, in practice chances are sky like the beeb, will simply not put the cameras on the crowd, get the commentators to say how terrible it is the club is in this state and that both sides need to sit down and sort this out!

Sorry if it is NOPM, it has to be NOPM all the way not with the exception of this game or that!

Perhaps if a group of fans blocked the road so the sky cameras couldn't actually get in, then sky would have ti sit up and take note! Filling the ground will do nothing except swell the coffers of sisu!

Sorry but it is a very bad idea

I've always thought refusing to leave the stadium aftet thr match would be a good idea for a protest, so after full time if all the fans congregated in one area of the ground and refused to leave till say midnight or something. None of the stewards/police would be able to leave until all the fans are gone and it would send a message, if people really like the idea of a pitch invadion maybe this could be done as an after match pitch invasion so after the players have left all CCFC fans just sit on the pitch and refuse to leave for hours

Of course this is all pointless now as we wouldn't have enough fans in the stadium to pull it off

As the game is on Sky why not go to Sixfields and protest peacefully outside. Sky would cover that in the pre-match build up and then head to the nearest sky equipped boozer in Northampton to watch the match? No-one needs to get a banning order or criminal charges against them in that case.

I will be selling Tim Fisher masks for those fans that are turning up that do not wish to be recognised on TV.

Will they have a SISU OUT tattoo on the forehead?

But all of the cameras will be inside of the ground as there is a football match taking place inside it, which is the only reason they are there.

Jimmys Hill will be cordoned off also.

I thought the hill was only cordoned off when NTFC played Man Utd or someone of similar size. They aren't going to class Cov v Sheff Utd in quite the same manner surely. The police have already confirmed they have no issue with a peaceful protest on the hill.

Interesting point that was mentioned on Midlands Today regarding the recent EDL protest in Birmingham. The police actually have virtually no power to stop a static protest, all their powers relate to marches.

This is what people arent understanding, the police are powerless to static protests. Imagine 3/4 thousand fans on the NTFC pitch sat down all wearing Fisher masks. That will be the most powerful protest us as fans could show.

They take mobile ones to capture fans arriving outside the ground, pitch side interviews etc.

How about we get the word out that we plan to sell out the game at Northampton by paying on the gate and will protest inside the ground, Sisu then have to pay for more police stewarding costs but in reality we will just turn up and not go in, all congregate in one area sing our hearts out as it will be heard on cameras and by players. That way we support the team, noone gets a criminal offence, sky will us pick up (if we know where the sky cameras will be we can position so we can be seen) and Sisu are out of pocket due to them expecting a sell out

Would this work? Like the way we can make them think it'll be a high attendance is to lots of us ring the ticket office enquire about paying on the gate and mention on the phone that you've heard there's a plan to sell out the game and protest inside the ground

No Coventry fans at a 'home' game is the best statement. Any pitch invasion will only have a negative effect in my opinion.

Your opinion is respected SkyBlueUpNorth however do you think that protesting 35 miles away is than taking the fight to SISU and actually show that we will not stand for whats going on?

If I was sat next to 3/4 thousand Tim Fisher faces... I don't know what my mind would do!!

Not sure what the law states regarding a crowd of people walking across a road and preventing traffic getting through, but it might be interesting if the teams / refs / etc. were unable to reach the stadium on time.

i think this relates to protests in public areas. It is my understanding that It is a criminal offence to encroach on the playing area at footie games. 3/4 thousand fans on Jimmy's Hill will be very powerful in my opinion. If this was the case, Sky would undoubtedly position an additional camera to cover the protest and singing / cheering for the team, with the ground completely empty.

Great idea and something has to be done, peaceful invasion, flags, banners, balloons , sky blue smoke bombs the lot, everyone in old city kits

Mass balloon invasion. 5000 people bring a packet of 25 balloons each. Thats 125000 balloons. Black or Sky Blue. No arrests and peaceful. But 15 minute delay to kick off. SISU might get the clean up bill aswell. Its an open stadium and if its windy it will be chaoes so sort out.

Done before the players come on so it doesnt piss them off. Sheff could bring red and white ones to support assist.

Great pictures for papers, great Sky TV and nobody can stop it.

Then we leave and do the conga and leave the Sheff UTD fans to watch the game. Although I think I would want to stay and watch it.
