Best player on the pitch today.

Way too good for league one.

wonder if the money from the reply would be enough to tempt BC to part with him early

Couldn't believe Dabo got MoM today. Walsh was outstanding.
Can't understand how Bristol let him go.
My only worry, and today isn't the first time it's happened, is when others start tiring, he seems to up his work rate and take up the slack. Hope he doesn't burn himself out.

He's been absolutely brilliant the last month. His first thought is generally to pass the ball forward as well. Becoming a really important player for us.

Yeah he was stretching out his hamstring towards the end, hopefully it was just cramp and not a strain or anything.

This. Dabo's probably been my player of the season so far, but Walsh really showed why he's championship level today.
It's also why I was a bit disappointed O'Hare didn't start...

Only chance we've got is getting promoted. He'll be a regular championship starter somewhere next year I'm certain of it.

Not a bad comparison but Walsh is younger and seems more focused. I think he can at least emulate what Fleck has done.

I thought it was a good decision not to start O'Hare - his performance against a tiring side was excellent. I don't think he'd have been as influential if he'd started. Might have brought him on just a little earlier, as Shipley and Westbrooke were clearly tired.

Walsh m.o.m. today.
Been very good last few weeks.
Pleased Robins had found a way to accommodate him and Kelly in the same team.
Key player for us going forward this season.

Walsh was absolute class today.Bossed the midfield with the excellent Kelly
He was different class today. Would love to see him sign permanently, we could use the McCallum transfer fee that we are inevitably about to receive if SISU so wish...

Today's game suited Walsh he is very physical and has quick feet and he was man of the match. Other games different teams he has not suited the set up. He is young and will get better as he progresses.

‘He is very physical’ I gather this may have been the first game you’ve been to this season, or are you a season ticket radio holder?

Season ticket holder actually. When I say physical he likes to be hard in the tackle and doesn’t shy away from 50/50 tackles.

I said it before but they’re shopping in a different market to players like Walsh. They’re a club with serious ambitions of reaching the PL and staying there

In Walsh’s position they signed an 18 year old from Monaco for over £7m

I do think it shows the difference between the leagues - Walsh can look brilliant for us but presumably another Championship club didn’t want to take him on loan

Kelly has brought out the best in him imo. When he first arrived in Kelly’s place due to his injury I didn’t think much to him, but since playing alongside him he’s been ace!

Was told last night Bristol have an option of extending his contract a further year so it seems unlikely we will sign the lad sadly

They do indeed, and Johnson has pretty much confirmed they intend to use the option, and that Walsh is one he has kept a personal eye on throughout their loan spell. Very highly rated. No chance of us signing him imo

That's unfortunate for us as I think he's been our POTS so far for us. Though at 22 years old and being there 3 years you'd have thought he'd have made the breakthough by now if the Bristol City boss thought he had something about him, and I'm sure Walsh would be wanting guaranteed first team football at his age.
