The royal blue and white was a much nicer combination that sky blue. The one thing that JH did that I always disliked was the sky blue strip.

What Man City played in was known as light blue. The term 'Sky Blues' started with JH's CCFC. Man City have never been the Sky Blues, although some lazy commentators are happy to label them with that tag.

I get the 'charismatic front man' and all that (he's even a one trick pony when it comes to that) It's not essential but has worked wonders for some bands throughout the history of Rock 'n' roll. Some of those great Oasis songs sounded terrible. His voice is a one off but his notes were way off. I don't know whether he does it deliberately or not. Probably not.
