I know who my money would of been on! I remember him putting a Birmingham player in row ZZ when we played over there in the (now) Carabo Cup - then complaining about being sent off.
From memory, didnt he get sent off playing for the ROI? - and they had to send armed guards on to get him off the pitch - I may of imagined that part.
Him and big Dunc would of been a celebrity death match

It was a good episode Alongside that. Roy Keane cried and Gary Neville is on the verge of giving a fan a clip around the ear.

I think it's fair to say that because we've not been at the top table of football for 20+ years and given our trials and tribulations for most of this century we may be perceived as a bit of a soft touch down the years and haven't had the personel to mix it up and give as good as we got.

I dare say we've had plenty that can more than stand up for themselves and their team mates down the years and I don't doubt there's one or two of the current squad I certainly wouldn't give it the gob before being despatched none too politely.

We may be surprised at who you wouldn't want to cross on the pitch.

Rushworth, Bobby and Lati like to get involved which I like, but I reckon the two I'd not want to cross would be Kitching and Bidwell. I bet Simms could handle himself too, but you'd really have to poke the bear.

Watched latest episode of the overlap and Liam Daish was mentioned by Ian Wright saying he went toe to toe with Martin Keown in the tunnel at Highbury when playing for us. Proper fight between the two of them. Good lad !
Possibly the fantastically well fought 0-0 of 1996 which I think was also the occasion of Wright's deliberate knee into Oggy's face?
I briefly spoke to Liam Daish after the game as I was getting the programme signed for my nephew.
A few Blues fans who I worked with claimed to be pals of his so I dropped a few names.
"Nah, don't know 'em", he said. "I only knock around with the top lads" :ROFLMAO:

I had a mate who happened to be in the Medical Room at Ryton when Daish had his medical. Before the doctor even examined him (physically) he got a list of all the injuries he had suffered throughout his career. Hardly any of them were football related and they were all due to fights he had been involved in, including being stabbed and am sure he said he had been shot as well, although I could be wrong with that one.

Daish was a proper old school centre back, and he wasn’t half bad for us.

I remember him giving someone a sly elbow at HR, just can’t recall the victim.

I went to the 0-0 in the cup, the Speedie incident is about the only thing of note that happened, but god it was freezing, one of the coldest games i remember going to.
Coldest for me was. Away Newcastle - no roof on the away end and it snowed - I was in a light work jacket and work shoes - struggled to hold the steering wheel and push the clutch on the way home - had been offered a ticket while I was up there on a day trip hence no winter kit - I think we lost 4-1 having gone ahead 😳

Yep we did, i was at this one too. It was 4 days after we took 6500 to Everton in Cup and there were about 300 of us. How times change.
