Leicester's signings... (1 Viewer)

I have to be honest, I am getting a little jealous of our rivals signings:

1. Nugent
2. Schmeichel
3. St Ledger
4. Peltier
5 Danns

Good players with 4/5 having Championship experience. I hate to say it, but I can see why the bookies have them as top three favourite to go up

Why be jealous? First off none of them signings are that good for the money they have to band about, plus if they do continue and spend 5-10 Mill and don't get promoted it will make it even more sweeter our end.

Nugent - Juke is better
Schmeichel - Murphy is better
St Ledger - Turner, Cranie, Wood and McPake are better.
Peltier - Never seen him play.

Im certainly not jealous.

We have a good keeper, so not bothered about Schmeical.

Nugent has hardly set the world alight so no great loss there. They wanted Mackail-Smith but he chose Brighton instead. Who wouldnt, instead of Leicester :D

Peltier, no idea.

St Ledger, even Middlesbrough didnt want him, says it all.

Big wages and big losses if not successfull, lets hope!!!

What he said /\ /\

Only one id disagree with is the keeper option, but heres hoping by the end of the season im proven wrong, and Schmeichal has let in more goals than Murphy, and Leicester are relegated and gone bust because of the silly money they must be paying players!!

Must admit, seeing Michail-Smith choose Brighton over Leicester, I had to laugh!! :D

I agree - over the moon with Murphy.

But St Ledger and Pielter are good players.

As for Nugent, depending on wages - could be a good free signing.

With Ipswich having £9 mil from Wickham sale - it will be interesting to see how they splash.

Nolan for West Ham is still the coup of the Championsip signings in my opinion

  • So Nugent -- banged in a few goals for Preston a while back and then done shit at Pompey
  • Schmeichel -- more of a name than talent, might be good in future but not an instant guarantee for promotion and prem level
I wouldn't be worried about the other 2.

I still remember St Ledgers childish and petulant actions on that Sky program where Big Ron/Con followed the goings on at Peterborough. He was a disgrace with his sulking and trying to tell the the manager Steve Bleasdale how he should be doing his job. I wouldn't want him any where near this club.

I was hoping we might have a stab at Nugent, but I guess wages are the issue.

Didn't know Leicester signed Nugent, wouldent have minded him down here. Danns is their best signing but their fans are getting a wee bit carried away I think!

Danns is the pick of the bunch there, perhaps. Anyone else get the funny feeling that if results aren't going the right way by the end of the season the whole set-up will implode? They're chucking a lot of cash about on big names: let's hope we can burst any bubbles as they emerge!

Probably wouldn't say Murphy is better than Kasper, but I'd agree with the rest.

Strange if they're supposedly going all out for promotion.

Whilst they're all decent Championship players they would have to replace them all again should they go up.

Right....I honestly can't believe the level of tw@dom that has just been signed by them....
other than Scmeichel...let me explain:

Nugent -
A complete twammer. Heard rumours that he once photographed himself naked and sent them to some teenage girl's phone or something. What an absolute plum. Thinks he's the bees knees cos he banged a few in for Preston and scored a tap in for England that was literally on the line...it was like a scrappy goal in a sh*t computer game. Looks like a smarmy git who wears annoying tops.

St Ledger - Prime d*ickhead. Rightfully mentioned earlier as being arrogant on that Big Ron Manager programme when he was at Peterborough Whingeing, overpaid, moody...well done foxes, I'm sure Sven will be very firm with him...erm....

Danns - Tried to release some kind of single that featured scenes of war and civil unrest with over use of the auto-tune vocal effect...does he really have the authority to make political statements...with such blatent lack of vocabulary and laughable vagueness? I can't find a link but will post one if I can.

Peltier - Never seen him play either but he's probably a bit of an arse.

Rest my case

It's Leicester, who cares who they sign? The only one of that lot who may be on value-for-money wages is Peltier, and he's crap.

I work in the East Midlands with lots of foxes fans and even though we have had some good banter over the last few years I cannot help but feel recently that some of these signings are going to their heads a little. Almost all of them think its a cert for promotion (I admit they have a much better chance than us).

All I have heard from them recently is..

We are signing Beckham
We are signing Owen
We have a unlimited transfer kitty (totally not true may I add)

Were Leicester one of the favourites to go up the year they went down to Div 1?

St Ledger is an absolute Donkey, they can have him, we have by far better defenders in the likes of turner, cranie, mcpake and wood. And we showed in the last few games of last season under Thorn that agaisnt the likes of Reading and Norwich we can compete. Play Up Sky Blues!!!

For the amount of money they are spending to bring players into their club, none of them are anything special and they could probaly find better players for the same amount of money. They are going purely for names and they are all overated. I reckon they'll be up there in the play off picture but i can't see them walking away with it.

Nugent I rate at this level and will get goals. The rest I could easily question. Certainly not certs for promotion. Think you may be over rating the manager.
