Rushworth looked confident and commanded his penalty area today. Hope this continues.
Wonder if the style of game suited him, compared to the last few where he's spent most his time watching the game from afar like the rest of us.

Wouldn't say he was diabolical. He was up against probably the best winger in the division, and he got beat a few times. Not great, but diabolical is a bit strong.
He was a problem for much of the time he was on , rarely won a challenge and defensively wank

think that’s extremely harsh to be honest. particularly on Kitching and Thomas who didn’t put a foot wrong

No one was shite FFS we just drew to Leicester away people. And not like we got dominated and hung on either.

Absolutely. Good clean sheet away against a side that will be top 6 at the season end. Yes Leicester had best chance of the game but apart from that only really threatened from long range.
All our players contributed and as a unit deserve credit. Grimes especially was calm, controlled and organised those around him.

It was the command of the penalty area from Rushworth I really liked. In the Derby game, even at 5-3 I was worried as he was flapping at everything. Today he was organised and caught everything you'd expect him to. No surprise that then fed into solidity in front of him for the most part.

Let's hope his performances in the first few games were just a combination of rustiness and boredom.

Well as we do have so many astute football experts on here, I simply cannot understand how Rushworth who is so shit can play like that. Was excellent.
Called it before a ball was kicked, JDS got a roasting by the currently best winger in the Championship. Bidders did better as their player was knackered by then. JDS still stopped a goal with a tackle before he went off and laid on the chance for Wright who nearly scored. One bad predictable game after an outstanding season so far and the haters are back in force.
How "supporters" can still say Wright is shit when he nearly scored, creates space for others and was the top scorer in the Championship at start of play is beyond me. He never stopped running and had to go off with cramp.
Asante played well but miskicked a great chance.
Tats as ever was sometimes good and often disappointing which he often is away from home.
Rest of the team were good and kept their shape.
Worried Torp runs out of steam quite early in matches.
I think Leicester are slowly putting it together and unless they get a massive points reduction, will get promoted IMHO.
Word of praise for the subs who bottled up the match. Bidders, Allan, Eccles and Simms. The latter still had two very difficult chances that he made for a very short time on the pitch.
The Ref was OK but seemed to ignore a couple of blatant pushes late in the game that put us on the backfoot.

He has always hated him and is annoyed every week bidwell is on the bench because he built him up as some rolls Royce type player
Ridiculous comment. He's played well this season, but today he had a shocker. Not his fault he was against one of the best wingers in the division or that BTA we wasnt great in front of him. He is rightly above Bidwell in the pecking order this season.

Today he was our worst player.

On reflection I would have put Wright left, Simms through the middle and brought on BTA as an impact sub with 20 to go.
The left hand side was too exposed to play Wright there all game. Even though he did get back and make some very good challenges at times though.

Decent all round , Rushworth kept clean sheet so 8, 6 or 7 for the rest difficult its to split them. JDS struggled against a very good player but not as bad as some are suggesting IMO. We will never have the best player for every position with our finances against those that have PL parachute payments to finance them.

Don't disagree with any of that tbf to you

Except for the rating of 4. It's just too lowyesbhe got done by fatawu but after being made a mug many times he persevered and got a block or tackle in still

I wouldn't say worst. Torp didn't do a lot. I thought all of them were just average apart from the defence and GK

Rushworth best game so far, conversely Rudoni probably one of his worst. JDS good going forward, but was very poor defensively, he was actually better in the air, than his tackling which was scarily bad at times
Sakamota although hard working, his crossing was dreadful, his left foot crosses drift away from the forwards, and his right foot ones never seem to beat the first man. Most of our goals (12 ) came in just 2 matches, both of which he missed. Whilst BTA is not technically the most gifted of players, he works hard, is more of a goal threat, gets in the box more and creates more space for MVE on the right.
Wright started very brightly with the press, but seemed to fade after 20 minutes allowing their defense to pass the ball largely unhindered. Made several good defensive headers, but at times his hold up play was poor , turning the ball over. Missed a decent chance, but has scored a lot recently, so hopefully he will start another run next week.
A decent point, and with a lot of the favoured teams struggling we have a real chance this season , especially with Leicester still facing a likely points deduction.

As much as I like Sakamoto we really need to be at a point where he's the bench option, not the starter. I think we were looking at that with Rak-sakyi but didn't get it done. Hopefully we can get that rectified quickly in January.

I agree on sakamoto

2 goals and 2 assists in his last 23 appearances

Not a great return , doesn't offer enough

Ephron for reference has 6 goals 6 assists in his last 23 appearances
