Cov shirts and merchandise all over this part of Leics. Sad thing is even some of my closer friends who are Foxes have turned very bitter about our respective predicaments. To think I had to endure years of their fucking smug looks, the cheating bastards.
Their wage bill still remains ridiculous, I think it was still running at over £800k per month compared to ours at £249,000 per month all this season.

Rudoni would be a strange choice to move on, but I wouldn’t complain too much about Wright going (awaits ridicule). He’s 28 now, probably the last chance to get decent money for him and, whilst with current squad he would be in the mix, I just couldn’t see him as a starter in the PL on a consistent basis. However, you’d likely see too much churn from the current squad for that to be a realistic sale this year - more likely he’s kept as 2nd choice.

Just all depends on what you bring in to replace them, keeping in mind that Simms will likely also be sold.

I'm not saying we should move him on, its more that he'd likely fetch us significant money. We could efficently cash in on Rudoni and bring in Barkley, who'd be a massive upgrade, for a fifth of the income.

The problem is that Prem quality strikers don't come cheap. We would have to blow about 25% of our budget just for someone half decent in the Prem. For me it's maybe sell Simms and BTA depending on offers made. A goal every 132 and 134 minutes for the pair of them. Might nearly get enough for another striker.

We'd deffo have to look at spending £20m on a striker. I mean is it worth trying to get Liam Delap on loan?

weirdly the best thing i think we can do - is do similar to Sunderland. trust our recruitment, and sell two of our stars whilst the iron is hot. Haji Wright and Rudoni would fetch 50m between them. you use that to supplement half of the TV money and you can spend pretty smartly.

I'm still in the mind that Doug will sell the club. I'm convinced we've got Nicola Ibbotson in for her contacts and the quicker he gets out he doesn't have to deal with the headache of the above.

Alternatively we could quickly pay off the mortgage on the CBS and that becomes officially ours.

I would say your valuations are a bit optimistic. Wright maybe about 12m. Rudoni hasn't had a good season so can't see any massive bids coming in. For what we would most probably get for him we might as well keep him. It looks like he is finally over his shoulder injury and getting back to form. If his transformation continues under Lampard he would end up good enough to at least come off the bench.

It looks like King has changed his mind about loans so there's a possibility. The problem is the better strikers won't be available so it would most probably be someone from a Prem club without Prem experience.

Sargeant went for 18m. Haji Wright fresh off promotion and being top scorer and hopefully appearing at the world cup would fetch 20m

Rudoni has had an injury hit season, his goal involvements have been good when hes fit, he's also got english tax on him. Jobe Bellingham fetched 30m. whilst he has a few years on him, there was nothing in them last season

Both would definitely attract teams like Leeds and possibly teams like Palace, Bournemouth and Forest.

Norwich just got £20m for Sargent, Wright is definitely worth more than 12

The mortgage is a sensible long term financial arrangement. It is officially ours anyway even with the mortgage.

I don’t see Leicester going down looking at their fixtures. I imagine they’ll get enough points from Preston at home, Sheff Weds away and Swansea at home.

The Premier league does bring in huge revenue, principally but not exclusively from the TV deal. That’s a fact not a myth.

The challenge is most of it leaves the clubs again in the form of player transfer fees, higher wage bill, and some infrastructure requirements.

Exactly one gain is offset by increased out goings. So most of it won't be spare cash washing around.

Getting recruitment right will be the key and we will have to recruit. This current team is fantastic but will need a rebuild for next season if we are in the Premiership. We need people with experience of performing at that level.

A good World Cup for Haji might be a big income for us.

If they're "not good enough" to start for us in the Premier League, they're hardly going to attract offers from Palace/Bournemouth.

Rudoni hasn't got one of the best players in the world as a brother.

Most seem to think Rudoni isn't good enough for the Prem. 30m is good Prem player money.

Yes Wright might get to be the top scorer in the Championship and he might play some games in the world cup. He might even score a few goals. But presently I would think between 10m and 12m.

Birmingham or Wrexham maybe.

No Prem side would take a 20m gamble on Gyokeres when he was with us. Gyokeres is a better player than Wright.

I’m not saying they’re not good enough, I’m saying we can be wise with our money, Barkley is a proven entity but is at the end of his career.

I think Rudoni could make the step up, as can Wright. But both are gonna find it did difficult with us. We’re better cashing in when their stocks are high.

if Wright has a good World Cup - someone in the States will pay Sargent money. His reputation will go sky high there

I'm half with you. Cash in if a massive offer comes in, but we also need to keep our best players and add quality to them.

We can't afford to buy a Prem side so we definitely can't afford a Prem squad. Even bringing in 8 players would be a big ask.

Rudoni when fit is being watched by PL teams and is seen by them as one of if not the best player outside the PL

He's young and English so up to 30m isn't unbelievable for him

Up to yes. But nowhere near 30m ATM mainly because of his poor season by his standards. Even with him playing as before his injury 30m is a massive amount for a Championship player without Prem experience.

How many players have been sold for £30m or above from the Championship without Prem experience?
