It also touches on something I was told today, King Power itself is in the shit.

Oh well, the players have a big night out on the piss planned for the weekend, that should cheer their supporters up!

I think that this is the first time Le*cester would be in the bottom three even without the points deduction.

No excuses now

It will end that way. Expect them to lose every game now.

The Analysis Series: Leicester City’s fall from grace

Financial and strategic analysis of Leicester City Football Club and the King Power International Group The financial evolution of Leicester City Football Club Limited across 2024/25 and 2025/26 c…

A few standout lines from the article:

'The £50 million facility secured against Premier League television rights (Facility e) is particularly significant. It represents an advance on future income that is now compromised by the club’s relegation to the Championship for the 2025/26 season.

Player trading is the engine room of Leicester City’s financial sustainability model. The 2024/25 accounts reveal a strategic decision to hold talent in an attempt to secure Premier League survival, a gamble that failed both sportingly and financially.

The shift from owner-funded subvention to high-interest Macquarie debt is a direct consequence of King Power’s need to preserve capital in Thailand.

Without a swift return to the Premier League or a stabilisation of King Power’s Thai operations, the data suggests that Leicester City is at significant risk of a protracted decline into the lower tiers of English football, where its current infrastructure and debt levels would be fundamentally unsustainable.'

In the shocking turn of events, their fans are somewhat congratulatory towards us.

I mean they’re not buzzing about us, but have given us respect where it’s due

Wish I'd seen this pithy summary before reading the whole article.

You wouldn't be saying that if you worked with some of the Leicester fans, like I have, took the piss in our Sisu days.

Arrogant bunch of twats.

While I am very much enjoying seeing Leicester fall from their perch, I wouldn't want to see the club go under.

And is almost definitely further compromised by another relegation.

Leicester need almost every player sold and need it done last window.
To echo other comments, seriously fucked contenders in the realm of joining the instant 12 point deduction club

They are twats but two wrongs don’t make a right. The tragedy of losing a club another EFL club can’t be repeated.

I’ll take the piss that they’ve fucked such a strong financial position but not if they go under.

I knew they were in serious trouble but reading that.... 100M in dept to Macquarie at over 8% interest, plus KPI seemingly not in a position to bail them out. A fire sale of a lot of their players looks certain if they get relegated, the board think the value their squad is around 200M, but who will take them on given some of their current earnings.

We stand accused of that by some club’s fans this season, and we haven’t started yet!
