You don't mean that do you Clint it was like us currently just lower down the pyramid, after all we wouldn't want Douglas doing such stuff.

In fact I've nominated him for PM
But I've revised to include PM of former private company that owned Canada for a time,if he can do as well as Mark Carney that's ok too.

I do mean it. Them winning the league has no upside.
Can't understand any Sky Blue who thinks otherwise.

I got kicked off their forum many many years ago.....I had created this fake profile where I was a born and bred Leicester bloke but supported Coventry with a passion and how I was the Treasurer for a Leicester born Sky Blues supporters club where membership was booming and where I was constantly surprised at the number of new members. It blew their minds....but I had some of the best fun I have ever had on the internet. it all came tumbling down around me when I had the Xmas get together of the fictitious supporters club in a pub called the Donkey Box in Leicester, and Leics fans had turned up and there was no gathering of like minded Leicester people and I lost all credibility. Then my Leicester City supporting mate who I had confided in grassed me up...when the fun stops...stop. But they took pre-emptive action and I got blocked. very enjoyable 6 months though and got me through a very messy period of my life for which i am forever grateful to the people of Leicester.
Fucking brilliant

You cannot call yourself a CCFC fan and come out with shit like that ffs
In fairness to him, at the time we didn't really have the same rivalry as now. We were completely shite, not knowing if we'd have a club next week, and they were heading for the Champions League quarter finals. It was like us hating on Nuneaton.

I hated them before, I hated them then and I hate them now

The worlds craftiest and conniving football club, got away with murder whilst clubs like us, Pompey, Luton were made an example of - I fucking hate all that they stand for

Sorry, but just because you're leagues apart it's still weird to want a rival to win a major trophy.
I was gutted when they won it, which is making their current predicament all the more enjoyable
We’ve lived it and won it mate. Trophies galore and we loved it at the time. Never boring supporting us where throughout history you have been a boring team - taking until 1967 to reach the top flight, always fighting relegation battle, one FA Cup win, then being a second tier team for the majorty.

I think I know now how a Forest fan must feel when we try to instigate a rivalry with
them. You’re the equivalent of us but you’re a very angry fan base ⚽️🦊😂

I bet I get a response too!

Fair enough and each to their own. I didn't really see Leicester as any sort of rival and at the time it was great to see 'one of the big 6' not winning the PL. We were in such a mess that PL football, or even Championship football felt like it was a million miles away. During those years, I didn't feel like we had a rival especially not one that was winning the PL.

Can see your point though, just not how I felt at the time.

How can you not see Leicester as any sort of rival? Not having a pop, but I find that really odd. I've been unable to sleep most of this week, and that's the case every time we've played them going back to the 80s. I'm aware some people will snigger at that, but don't care, this means the world. That title winning season was agonising.

I don't either (or no more than anyone else).

No Leicester fans at school, weren't in the same division as them when I started supporting us.

Never enjoyed games against them because it brought out the worst in the more knuckle-dragging elements of both fanbases, but didn't care about them in the same way I did about Villa.

Don't like them now because of their shenanigans, but not because I have long-standing dislike for them.

Fair enough. It's is odd though, it's two one club cities separated by 17 miles of motorway, Lots of people living and working in the same areas. Never gave a toss about villa, they could win the league this season and I wouldn't care. Leicester could win a raffle and it would bother me. I'm aware that others don't see it that way though.

Not bothered about Villa anymore either, tbh.

Clubs I dislike now are for specific reasons rather than club rivalries.

I'm glad many see a rivalry with Leicester, though, because it means someone coined the term 'Knickerstitchers'. By far the best derogatory nickname for a club I've heard.

It's nice to think back on the good times when we won something. But being realistic how much do you think of years gone by when your club's mid table, a skint owner who keeps putting more debt on the club and players that aren't playing for the shirt?

It's time for a reality check. You've already loaned next years Prem money. You've loaned the player transfer fees in advance and haven't paid for the players you have signed in the last couple of years. You've got players earning an absolute fortune in the Championship that are just average. You haven't got the funds to improve your squad next season. 3 clubs will be relegated with the Prem money plus Birmingham and Wrexham that are having money thrown at them. Looks like you're in for a right shite roller coaster ride where you're looking downwards and not up.

Look on the bright side. If it takes you as long as us to recover I'll never see you in the Prem again.

Fingers crossed on the last paragraph.

As someone who started watching Cov in 92/93, Leicester were always an irrelevance up until the early 00s.

The level of delusion is off the scale. 🤣🤣🤣🤣
I mean, as petty as that is, I do get why they're so angry.

All their stars aligned to give them something that no Leicester fan would have imagined possible in their wildest dreams. From that, they had a genuine opportunity to change the stature of their club. In that endeavour, they have singularly, and spectacularly, failed. It's the ultimate shit-the-bed.

Quite funny, really.
