Not a criticism of you as it’s all subject, but I flicked through it out of interest and I don’t think he looked too bad!

He is, but if Wilson is better in training then he deserves to play.

Robins will have his reasons, won't just be for the lols and I'm guessing the reason is Wilson looks better in training.

Or maybe Dovin has just picked up a knock.

I'll be on a plane when the team is announced so I won't see it but there's going to be one hell of a meltdown on here if Wilson is in it

It's mainly due to Dovin needing to learn to be more vocal. They aren't happy with how quiet he is and needs to bring that into his game

I think this remarkable forum referenced this exact concern last week. Maybe our "science lady" has incorporated lip reading & hasn't seen Dovins move at all since he came in.

Wasn’t he brought in as one of our highest earners? It makes no sense that a Swedish international who was brought in as our new number one is dropped before the end of September for Wilson.

If I was King I’d be asking what’s going on at this point.

So they’re bringing in the only goalkeeper I’ve ever seen be told off by his defence for being silent?

Sorry but you don’t chop and change for something like that. You’re going to destroy the kids confidence.

Real questions that he knows what he’s doing tbh

Bit worrying we pay so much for a keeper then bomb him out.

Didn't we do any scouting to see what his personality was like?

Just seen Jamie’s out for three months. Bens been training at week so assuming he’s good to go. Leave us with four CMs including Jack.

While this is not the side to do it against wonder if a 4-4-2 would help us at the moment so we could replace both cms?

Why would you change formation just so you can make an unnecessary sub?

Well apparently the scouting team were looking at personality.

I think they need to break out the Buzzfeed quizzes next time, would do a better job.

Gotta make five changes on sixty mins regardless of how the game is going. Doug didn’t buy all these players to sit on a bench.

Especially as they made a big thing before about how they look at every aspect of potential signings, including personality.

Did you guys hear about the Manager who fired the entire HR team because he was getting no applications so submitted his own CV with the name changed and their system rejected him and everyone else?

I feel that’s what’s needed with our performance and recruitment teams.

How anyone watches the Norwich & Swansea games and thinks changing the keeper will fix this is beyond me. Poor lad has played behind a different back 4 every week

The knee is poised.

Lads, players are signed for 4 years not 4 weeks, a new signing being left out of the side is not the end of the world nor the end of his career.

It’s more the reason as well as the fact we keep chopping and changing the team especially in defence.

We desperately need a settled back five and frankly dropping a young signing because he’s not vocal enough after five games says more about your scouting and coaching than the player.

We've conceded a few goals where the full back has tucked in too narrow leaving someone free at the back post or where defenders have ball watched and let a runner go.

I wonder if MR/the staff have decided that better organisation and communication from the keeper could have prevented some of those.

Although swapping and changing the defence (and now keeper) every week isn't great.

Need to be settled and get relationships

Then we'd be better off with Collins in goal. I can't remember what game it was but at one point the wall was looking to Wilson for instructions and none came so they sorted it out themselves.

Millions of pounds spent on goalkeepers to just revert back to the L1 freebie? It always was a questionable use of funds.

To be clear, he hasn’t been responsible for any goal he’s conceded.

Very small sample size of course but he's below the league average for shot stopping and right near the bottom for claiming crosses.

I wouldn't be dropping him but he hasn't been great so far. He will be back in soon I'm sure and will be a cracking keeper in time.

Dovins 22 and just moved to a new country into a league that is a big step up. If the "coaching team" are bombing him out for not being vocal then I do worry about their credentials. Mind you I worry about their credentials anyway

Chopping and changing the defence every week and breaking up your strongest CB pairing has been far more detrimental than anything Dovin has done.

Going from "Wilson has been told to find a new club" to Dovin being dropped before the end of September is pretty wild.

We can't afford to be dropping so much money on a GK for them to be sitting on the bench.

'bombing him out'

Why must everything be dramatised so much?

Collins has been bombed out. Dovin has not.

Same goes for spending £4m on Kitching, or whatever it was.

Dropping a keeper who has conceded a goal every game?

MR Out.

I’m clearly being flippant, and admittedly it’s an odd choice, but the emotions on this forum are mental.
