All credit to Lats for keeping his head down and training hard, and taking the opportunity when it finally came along. He is definately a better defender than Woolfy and Kitching, even if his distribution isnt so good.

The one undeniable fact is, we rarely get beaten when Lats starts.

Fucking he’ll the gangs all here, why not see what cam and David O’Day have to say as well 🤣

All because someone argues with your long running campaign against Latibeaudiere.

you keep digging out the other centre halves creating a response .. i dont disagree with you joel has been good

We have 4 'good' centre halves at this level. I don't think any of them, bar maybe Thomas, are good enough for the premier league. Defence is the area we will need to spend the most money on in the summer!

That said, Lati has always given everything, can play anywhere across the backline and even in the DM role. You need one or two versatile players in your squad in a 46+ game season and he's one of them!

No I don’t. You brought up Thomas. I think Latibeaudiere is our best out and out defender. That’s a whole thought. You get upset because I won’t say Thomas is a better defender when I don’t believe he is. Even though there’s other things he’s very good at. The only one of our CBs I’ve had nothing good to say about is Woolfenden. I’ve said I think Thomas will be in our first choice defence next year unless we splash more cash than I think. I just think he needs a proper defender and organiser alongside him because defensively he’s not perfect.

I’ve given reasons for my thinking including an example in the last game we played and I’ve got back sarcastic gifs and tagging in the SBT Arsehole Avengers. Such “debate” 🙄

"Can defend which is more than can be said for the other three"

Thats why i responded to you , i get you constantly have shit with other posters on here but i have no issues with you at all .. i think you are wrong and thats why i replied because of that statement alone .

No issues

I agree we need a top centre half next to bobby too btw

In the last two games Lati has been the one called over by Frank to receive instructions.

He appears to have some kind of unspecified authority as the instructions in the case of Southampton had to be concerning the attack - they can't have been purely defensive. Not bad for a bloke barely in contention for anything only weeks ago. He has known leadership skills and I think has captained in the past

I've been impressed with how Lati has just slotted in, with very little game time until after Christmas. Yes he has a mistake in him but then again so do all of our defenders. I'm not sure if he'll play against Derby though with the Internationals? However that might not be a bad thing considering the size of the Derby players. We may need more height for defending set pieces.

Lati has a good spring and wins plenty in the air considering his height, I think he's probably better than Kitching in that respect

That Swansea chance towards the end was a good example where the player just went past him, he does that a lot. He’s excellent in the air but frequently loses his man and gets his feet in a mix when being ran at. He’s not as bad as Woolfenden or Kitching but he’s not as good as Lats. He has Kitching’s issue but not to the same extent of having a rush of blood to the head too.
The thing that pisses me off with Kitching is when he beats a man and then suddenley thinks he is prime Messi and goes on a forward run obviously leaving a gaping hole at the back then loses the ball in no mans land

No different to Konjic who we all loved doing it 😂

Kitching is a little out of form at the moment, but he's been excellent this season. That floated diagnal pass to MVE to cross for EMC's goal at Derby was a thing of beauty.

His passing can be great. The problem is he’s supposed to be a CB.

It’s nice to see that, with a player rating of 7.6, Lati was the man of the match in Jamaica’s win against New Caledonia 👍

Sadly, with a rating of 6.5, EMC was Jamaica’s lowest ranked player.

Jamaican team is made up of pretty good standard pros. New Caledonia on the other hand...
Game looked like an absolute stinker.
They’ve got players from the French 7th tier, I don’t even want to imagine how shite that is.

Shteeeeve McClaren resigned because Jamaica had to go into the playoffs in the first place, they’re massively underperforming.

Yeah but everybody loves a big lunking centre-half go on a barnstorming charge up field. It's one of the great joys of football.

Kitching looks like he can play, so it's less entertaining.
Fair that
